Hi. This hotel has the worst service I ever experience, and we had an economic issue. Stay away from this hotel for Your own sake. That is my advice. Details: Bad service in the morning at breakfast for many of the guest. At the desk they put extra bills on the room.

It's very well located, great breakfast (expensive as everything in Iceland but good) and the people attending the hotel were absolutely lovely and friendly with us. The beds are tiniest than you can expect but it's super clean!

I've stayed here several times. I choose it for its location - very close by from some of my favorite restaurants in downtown Reykjavik (fish market, Uno, slippbarinn). The rooms are good in size, clean and equipped with everything needed, but definitely nothing extra-ordinary. The staff is not the most experienced/professional but they are trying their best and are always... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Centrum, excellent location and central to everything downtown. All within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It is a good location for pick up for tours. Excellent coffee shop across the street and two restaurants to chose from at the hotel. Happy hour from 5-7.

We really liked staying here. The hotel has a premium location and all the restaurants, shops and main city attractions are walking distance. Their staff is wonderful and beds comfy so we had a wonderful sleep. It is simple but very nice and clean.

We stayed here in the beginning of October. The room wasn't ready at 9am when we arrived but that was to be expected. They locked up our luggage for us and assured us a room would be ready in an hour. The location is great. The Fishmarket restaurant is right next door and a few blocks away are tons of... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Reykjavik Centrum is a new first class hotel in the heart of the city, opened on April 1st 2005. It is located on one of Reykjavik’s oldest streets, Adalstraeti, in a newly renovated building, the oldest part of which was built in 1764. On each side of it, new buildings have been constructed in the likeness of their historic predecessors. The hotel spreads over all three buildings, and is designed in the style found in Reykjavík around 1900. During its construction, the remains of a Viking longhouse from the Settlement Period were found. Among the finds excavated at the site were Iceland’s oldest human remains, dating from approximately 870 AD.The hotel has 89 rooms, each fitted with modern amenities, such as satellite TV, telephone, Internet access, mini-bar, radio, iron and board, hair dryer, safe and tea & coffee set. All rooms have en-suite bathroom with either a shower or a bath. ... more   less
