The Radisson Blu 1919 is close to the centre of Reykjavik so having read some comments about external street noise, I emailed the manager Marc Eberhard and asked for a room that would be quieter for us senior citizens (older moaners!). Marc obliged and we had a great fourth floor room with a nice view of the Harpa concert building....

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 9 March 2017

We stayed fours nights at the beginning of March. The staff were very friendly & helpful with any questions we had. The room was fine, reasonably basic, but we didn't plan on staying in the hotel for hours (to much to see & do outside). The bathroom was nice, good shower over the bath & fresh towels every day (towels...

The location of 1919 is perfect for anyone who want to be in walking distance to good restaurants and the harbor. We stayed her for 5 nights and had a very large, comfortable corner room. The hotel is quiet and beds are comfortable. The staff is great and helpful with everything we asked. The bathroom isn't terribly large and the...

For what the hotel is it is definitely expensive. The room is small with a king bed in and not much else. The hotel doesn't have spa facilities but it is in s good location. Everything in Iceland is pricey but we had a comfortable stay here was noisy at times in the evening but not too excessive

The staff were very polite and helpful. We did not have a chance to interact with the concierge. I can only guess that the concierge matched the rest of the staff. The restaurant had a nice breakfast - unfortunately, it wasn't included in the price. It was pricey but tasty - lots of variety. The room was comfortable. The size...

This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the city close to many restaurants, shops and bars. You can walk to Laugavegur Street and Hallgrímskirkja church tower. The rooms were spacious with nice beds. Breakfast was great with many options and good coffee.

Radisson Blu 1919 is located in the city center of Reykjavik. It is easy to walk to many of the sites in the city from the harbor to Hallgrimskirkja. The front desk staff is very friendly and were extremely helpful. Breakfast was included and was good. I especially appreciated the pot of coffee every morning.

It turns out that this hotel used to be the head quarters of a major shipping company. I say this as we were not aware or this from our booking. So, the hotel makes perfect sense now. The interior does have that commercial office kind of vibe to the rooms and if you are not expecting that then it can...

Great hotel in the centre of Reykjavik, just walk out and go around the corner to see the stunning mountain range views across the sea, or walk in the opposite direction to the shops and restaurants. For me it was fantastic to have a Nespresso machine in the room and a TV with a great selection of British channels.

This hotel - take the hotel and breakfast option it was great. All hotels are expensive but this one was excellent for the location is killer - cant go wrong. the hard part of Iceland is that this coming season the expect 30% more tourists. Go in the spring or fall!
