I stayed at Hotel Phoenix for 4 nights in between my 14 day Across The Wilderness Tour and the start of my Artic cruise to Greenland and Svalbard. What can I say I chose correctly this hotel I prefer to call it a B& B was perfect. The two gentleman that run the establishment are very methodical and have set...

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is close to the city center and all the restaurants (maybe 10-15 minutes if you stop and look in the shops). The rooms are neat and tidy with a comfy bed and the bathroom is supernice. The breakfast is great, the owners are very helpful and we would definately stay here again!

Enjoyed a four night stay at Hotel Phoenix. Staff was helpful, offering insider tips (Icelanders don't tip, prefer Visa over Amex, etc) so you could enjoy their country to its fullest. The owners? helped arrange an airport shuttle with ease and were prepared to assist me in booking daily excursions had I not previously done so. Breakfast was filling and...

Clean, nice, good breakfast, helpful proprietors. Feels like going to nana's house in the 1960s, with a disapproving look for having muddy feet. We probably should have stayed somewhere a little more casual. Our room was roomy and comfortable, but it had white french provincial furniture, the kind my nana had in her duplex in Bridgeport in the 1960s, along...

We booked this hotel for seven nights in the first week of August 2016. The hotel is centrally located, ten minutes walk form the heart of Reykjavik. The room was clean spacious with a lovely sitting area next to a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was simple, healthy and filling. The two gentlemen in charge were extremely kind, friendly and very...

I am a frequent visitor to Reykjavik, and have stayed in many hotels, but here ended up apologizing to everything that moved -- for keeping my key instead of turning it in, for scheduling a tour pickup before breakfast (aren't all morning tours 7:30 pickups?), for letting my guest stay a few minutes past eleven, for wanting to go out...

We stayed three nights in this hotel, and can honestly say (and we travel a LOT) that this might be one of our favorite hotels ever. The owners are incredible and make you feel at home, the breakfast is great, the location can't be beat and the boutique feel is just the cherry on top. Definitely stay here, you won't...

We stayed for 4 nights in the Hotel Phoenix, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this small boutique hotel. The two owners, Jon and Steindor, were very polite, always greeting us with a friendly smile, and were happy to engage in conversation. As we had Room 12 up one flight of stairs and there is no elevator they willingly carried...

I had read very positive reviews on Trip Advisor, This is listed as a hotel, however appears to be more like a B & B. Small, lovely rooms which were spotless.. comfortable bed. These are the positive.. the negative.. Hotel is run by 2 men, one is somewhat friendly while the other is very compulsive about what the guests can...

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in July 2015. Despite some recent reviews I thought it was a perfectly good stay and would recommend if you're visiting Reykjavik. - Room size decent, beds are firm but comfortable. Small bathroom (typical) and very clean; - Service was perfectly fine. No concerns similar to what other posters have mentioned. We had...
