The price for a room in the middle of winter was great. We were able to walk to all places of interest with ease and got picked up for our glacier tour with no dramas (except for the bus breaking down). The room was large with enough room for our suitcases, a small table, a few chairs, a large comfy...

Ran into some trouble on the first few days with our suitcase going AWOL. Staff were great in helping to locate this ! Bacon and oat bars are a must at breakfast! When booking ask for a double bed otherwise you may get two single beds pushed together 😂

We stayed at the Plaza in January 2016, It has a great, central location, near to the harbour, restaurants, museums and tourist information office. The reception staff were helpful and efficient, confirming our bookings for our excursions and return transfer to the airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the bathroom was rather tired and could have done with...

A short and sweet review. This hotel is located right in the centre of Reykjavik as suspected and really does tick all the boxes. Clean rooms, good breakfast and great staff. Definitely consider if you are planning a visit.

It took 35 minutes of queuing to check into the Hotel and when we finally saw the room which was described as Superior, it certainly wasn't, a better description would be "Tired"! I complained about the room but was told that we had a Superior room; the tv did not work and the wash basin tap was loose - I...

Location, great location right in city centre overlooking central square, ice rink, bars, food vendors, lovely cosy, winter wonderland feeling. Noisy till late at night but that's what we wanted, city life atmosphere. Hotel, clean, modern bar and lounge area, very basic dining room and tiny little bedroom, bedroom size was disappointing, but on flip side lovely large modern shower...

Firstly the location of this hotel is excellent. The staff and everything else however is another matter. The staff didn't make us feel very welcome, they didn't tell us how to locate our room (which was like navigating through a maze - poorly signed), no information about breakfast, wifi etc. We were given a room at the very back and...

Our room was in the old part of the hotel with a great view of the building wall next door. The room and bath were warm and clean. Good hot water and water pressure. The sulfur smell of the hot water was faint, but doesn't stay on the skin. The water was so soft and soothing and more than made...

We spent 6 nights in the hotel and it was a great experience in all areas from staff to food. Room clean, breakfast perfect. All the breads were fresh and a wide variety were offered. The staff was extremely helpful to all of us- arranged tours and suggested places for touring and eating. The location could not have been better....

Me and my partner stayed from the 8th (Friday) till 11th (Monday). Through our stay we didn't really experience any problems. We arrived and got given a room on the 5th floor. We asked prior to staying if can be located on a high floor due to personal fears I have and they were not hesitant to meet my needs....
