Excellent location, fresh Cosy bedrooms, would be excellent if it was not for a very bad breakfast offer. Recommend staying here but having breakfast somewhere else. The hosts were very welcoming and we even got smaller pillows when requested.

Stayed here for four nights. We had room #5, one of the garden rooms. There was a comfortable bathroom, a small kitchen, and a bedroom with three twin beds. Linens and towels were changed daily. Breakfast is available for a small extra fee (although we ate out most mornings). It's on a quiet road, but still in close walking distance...

The first thing that strikes you is that this is one of the more pretty buildings in Reykjavik. The location is superb- a few mins walk to the bustling centre but out of it enough to be quiet and relaxing, whilst on the belt for pick ups for all of the tours. The apartment like all Iceland accommodation the interior...

I stayed in Reykjavik for 2 nights, before heading out on my explorations on the south and eastern side of the island. I am glad that I chose Galtafell. It is centrally located, comfortable, very clean, friendly, and proved to be a good base during my 2 days. Given that I arrived right after a major snow storm, my goal...

Loved our stay at the Galtafell guest house. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and with everything we needed. Jelly Belly the cat definitely made her presence heard! If we returned we would definitely book here again. Highly recommended. Really central and easy walking distance to attractions and city centre.

I want to start off by saying that I try not to leave Debbie Downer" reviews if I can help it but I just can't bite my tongue on this one. I will start with the pros; being location and parking. This guesthouse was perfect. It was close enough to everything in central Reykjavik but off the beaten path with...

Thank you to the owners (sorry I didn't ask your first names) and Mickaela for our excellent stay in your beautiful home. The facilities and location are excellent. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this Guesthouse to anyone. The breakfast is plentiful and very reasonable bearing in mind the prices in Iceland. Thanks again. Morag & George (from...

My family stayd one week, in 2014. This is a very nice place, the owner is so kind and helpful! She (owner) is the main reason this guesthouse get full score. She helps with everything, and she makes a very good breakfast for you. One of us got sick, and she even bought something to help this person get better....
