We stayed there for our first 4 days of our vacation. Our first impression was that the rooms were okay, but it was kinda dirty. We shared one toilet+shower with two other rooms... in the beginning. Then two other families started using ours because their bathroom was broken. The owner of the "guesthouse" had send them to us. Needless to... More

A little bit better than poor, but I don't think it rates average and not worth the price, with added costs not shown when I booked . Very basic room - two small and rough towels ( we had booked a room with private bathroom). We did get hot water and a good buffet breakfast: cereal, bread, sliced meat, cheese,... More

Rooms aren't clean. Sheets have many holes, only two hangers - one of them is broken. No breakfast!! We paid for the breakfast, but first of all the told us, the breakfast will be the day after, then only on weekends. So we have no breakfast. There are no el.teekettles! No coffee in the morning. TV shows only 1 channel.... More

After doing the Ring Road, we stayed at multiple different guesthouses, but Guesthouse Pavi was by far the worst that we experienced across the country. Because we didn't have a phone, we couldn't call the manager to let us in and so we emailed him in advance to let him know. He responded by telling us to stay elsewhere because... More

I also read bad comments about Guesthouse Pavi but I didn’t have a bad experience myself, I was dreading going but was pleasantly surprised. Got in ok, just as someone was leaving, waited 5 minutes for the owner to come up, who said I would be staying in the apartment block further down as it was the festival in Reykjavik... More

I read a lot of bad reviews about the guesthouse at tripadvisor and booking. It really doesn't deserve all that negative feedback! The place is absolutely alright for the price you pay. We stayed there for 8 days and when we arrived in the guesthouse we were moved to another house 2 minutes from the guesthouse if you walk. The... More

Good for that price, but don't expect too much. Shared but clean bathrooms. Clean rooms, helpful staff. Perfect for backpackers if you dont want to loose big money. Nice location - right in the city-center. Reyjkavik is quite small so its everything close.

Accommodation in Reaykjavik is expensive in general and guesthouses are rather seldom. This is one of the biggest of them and offers a reasonable price/value ratio. The accommodation is provided partly in 4th floor of a living block and partly in flats in smaller (multi-appartment) hoses nearby. Kitchen is available for every appartments but it is usually shared by more... More

I stayed at guesthouse Pavi for two nights. Actually, the guesthouse was under construction and when we arrived they told us that they would take us to another place instead. After making us wait for half an hour under the rain, a car came and took us to a house basement (close to the original guesthouse). Although the room was... More

I stayed here for 5 nights with a friend. We didn't have much choice in hotels as everything was booked for a conference. Now I realise why this was the last hotel left! Pros: Good location - 5 min walk from the main bus terminal, 10 min walk from the sea front. Good wifi Each time we told the tourist... More
