We had an awesome 9 days at Nordica. Staff was friendly and we felt very comfortable. Close to downtown Reykjavik and the Vox restaurant on site served a variety of meals. Highly recommend the hotel. Thanks.

Lounge access comes with Executive rooms which cost considerably more than regular. Honors Diamond status get upgraded to exec rooms if available and even if not available they will get lounge access. Honors Gold might or might not get these benefits. I assume you are neither of these otherwise you would know all this already (Diamond is 60 nights/30 stays a year and Gold is 40 nights/20 stays a year). Therefore your option is to pay for Executive room.

What is the best way to get to the hotel from the airport (KEF)?
I would recommend renting a car at the airport and driving. Parking is complementary at this hotel. Also, having a car will give you freedom to explore the rest of Reykjavik and other nearby sites. We also found it very easy to drive in Iceland. I would also recommend getting a mobile SIM card or renting a mobile Mifi device at the airport and using it for directions. Just put in the hotel address into your phone, and follow directions using your favorite navigation app.
