I went with my girlfriend for a birthday treat - and what a treat. We were welcomed by David and Mandi who presented us with coffee, cupcakes and a rendition of Happy Birthday. The room was comfortable, spacious and backed onto the burn. We slept with the windows and doors open to sleep to the sound of the water. Perfect....

We initially booked Fairdean for 10th March but unfortunately had to postpone until 18th March. During the whole process of booking Mandi was very obliging in dealing with our change of date and most importantly accommodating our two dogs, one of whom is a newbie and not used to being away from home. The whole stay was faultless and both...

Had a wonderful short break at Fairydean Mill. A gem of a retreat nestled in the countryside. Beautiful, comfortable, scrupulously clean, with everything you could possibly want catered for. From time of booking to post visit, Mandi and David looked after everything, even supplying detailed route of how to find them. Its evident that they care about their guests experience...

Mandi and David are the best ever hosts. Your every wish is catered for. Fairydene is spotlessly clean and in a very quiet location. Wonderful breakfasts with Mandi's fab homemade breads and lemon curd. We so look forward to our 3 times yearly stay.

We spent a night here on the merit of reviews we'd read, and we weren't disappointed. Comfortable room with lovely en suite. Highlight was the tea and amazing cakes on arrival, and delicious smoked salmon and scrambled eggs breakfast. Great location off the beaten track yet close to excellent mountain biking and nice restaurant in Peebles. Thank you for a...

Wonderful stay at Fairydean Mill, couldn't have asked for more. The location is perfect, peacefully set in the countryside made for a restful sleep but only a 10 minute drive to the nearest town Peebles, and just over half hour to Edinburgh, perfectly located. The rooms were cosy and very very comfortable, also clean and had coffee/tea making facilities in...

My husband and I booked 2 nights at Fairydean Mill on our way back North after staying near Hexham. Every review I have read about Fairydean has been marvellous and we really enjoyed our stay. From the friendly greeting, and tea and beautiful cupcakes, then shown to our lovely, spotless clean room. The rest of the house was absolutely gorgeous,...

This B&B is a find. Beautiful rural setting with modern accommodation, we spent a family weekend here. Home made bread, lemon curd, marmalade, cupcakes added to the overall enjoyment of the stay. Excellent hosts, David and Mandi made us most welcome. Stylish en suite facilities and bedroom accommodation for all 8 guests ensures we will be returning soon.

This is as good a B&B as we have stayed. Immaculately clean, comfortable and modern yet very characterful. The attention to detail was second to none along with the hospitality. Delightful cupcakes were offered on arrival and the breakfast was made even better by the home made bread. The owners were very friendly and chatty. A true find!

David and Mandi have succeeded in creating what may possibly be the most stylish, distinctive and comfortable accommodation in the Borders. The setting is just perfect, the friendly welcome matches the quality of their home. The cakes/tea/coffee on arrival must not be missed. It is rare to find such meticulous attention to detail in a relaxed and welcoming environment, and...
