Stopped over on way from Namibia back to Stellenbosch. Newer rooms as shown on website are lovely. Older rooms are spacious. Most double rooms have a double plus a single bed, if we had known we would have booked one room for 3 of us and saved a bit. Shower heads need attention and cleaners should remove cobwebs etc, otherwise...

We stopped her for an overnight stay on 5 Jan 2017 on our way back to Cape Town after visiting family in Swakopmund. Rooms were spick and span as on our previous visit. Garden, pool area and porch were well kept as they were nearly two and a half years ago. Staff was once again very friendly and helpful. We...

I have stayed at Noordoewer Guesthouse quite a few times in the past before, and always found the stay quite pleasant. The rooms (i stayed in) was quite modern, clean and have everything to make an overnight stay comfortable. The most important factor for me that the aircon was working properly, which was needed in 43degrees. The breakfast could be...

Pro...Location close to the border. Clean rooms. Nice clean garden and lovely setting.. Excellent dinner. Price for 2 ok...Cons...Light not working in the room...Ice cold breakfast at 7:30am...(how is this possible)..Lack of attention to detail. Ask directions to a shop but was brushed off with a "it's down the road"..

I was actually very disappointed on arrival. When we arrived around 13:30, Reception was closed. walked around to find someone, I came across one of the workers who told me that the owner, Marais, is still sleeping! Wow! We had to sit around with nothing to drink and could also not buy something as no one could open the fridges...

The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean. The furniture in the room was past it's sell by date, broken lampshades etc. Other rooms I saw seemed to be more modern and nice. Don't know why we got the old one. The dinner was quite good, but the BREAKFAST was abysmal. Uncovered food on the work surface and...

A solid, well run guest house, clean, very close to border and ideal for transit on the Namibia - SA road. Very good value for money, next time will definitely stay here again... The playground is well maintained too

This is a great place for a stopover. The rooms, bathrooms and surrounding areas are sparkly clean, functional and the bedding gorgeous and inviting ! Wifi works mainly in the main restaurant area. The dinners and breakfasts are great and the surroundings like a small oasis. All the staff members (without exception !) and manager are extremely friendly and helpful....

WE stayed there only one day.... I liked that there not so much people involved in managing the place. It is simple, pure and very organized. I liked the atmosphere - owners speak Afrikaans, English, may be German... everywhere some little thing decorating and making place cozy and same time modern, fresh. That place (as many places down on the...
