I spent a few nights at a local hotel, then three weeks in a private room at Granny's Inn. The hostel was vastly better than the hotel (I forget the name) at a fraction of the price. The staff are very friendly, the wifi is excellent, and the bathrooms are clean! Just be very careful leaving a window open in...

We are not strangers to budget hostels, but this hostel just didn't live up to the expections we have built up from visits to various hostels around Europe and Central America, and overall we are not particularly impressed. Pros - 5min walk to a bus stop on the main line to Valletta one way, and St Julian's/Paceville party areas the...

Hi, I'm sorry for your experience. The hostel is under new management. We took all of your Cons on board and we are working on finding a solution for all of them. We added new fans, less beds, the kitchen is not closing at 14:00 & PC access is free. In re to Maltatransfer they do not offer a private...

The staff here was so amazing! The family owned business really made you feel like family. They upgraded our rooms, provided breakfast and even PACKED US LUNCHES when we were going to be out during the lunch hour. Not to mention, they enjoyed talking to us and finding out about our travels and our trip to Malta. It's walking distance...

Paulette and her dad are nice, and happy to help with maps and info. Clean enough. Really cheap. Great location. Rooms are quite big and there is heaps of space for your luggage and clothes. Fridges are in the rooms - it means that there is always a bit of space for your stuff, good idea. There are lockers at...

I apologise for the late late review. Stayed here for 2 weeks in May 2012. Quiet and clean. Owner is very friendly and great to chat with. 5 minute walk to the beach and a 15 min walk to Saint Julien. Very convenient and excellent price. Toilets and showers were clean and well kept. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. I was in a private room, so I can't say what the dorms were like, but the place was well managed, clean and in a good location. The staff are really friendly and helpful, but only around in the morning. It would have been nice if there was a vending machine and more...

A few streets back from the seafront in Sliema you'll find this small hostal housed in a quaint Maltese townhouse. While it's still less than 5 mins walk to the busy seafront the narrow streets around Granny's see little traffic and it's a remarkably quiet neighbourhood. There are local stores within a few minutes walk and an off-license claiming to...

I spent an amazing week at the Granny's Inn, in Sliema. It was my first time in Malta. The pictures don't lie; It is an amazing place. The interior design is awesome, with marble stairs, an incredible wooden banister (my regret, I didn't take a picture :() The persons in charge of the hostel makes you feel at home, they...
