Spent a most enjoyable night here for our wedding anniversary and as so many have already said Jack is a wonderful host. The hotel is quirky and so very peaceful. Exceptionally clean and breakfast in the terrace was superb. Would highly recommend. W

Platres is located high in the mountains on the way to Mt Olympus and where better to stay than the Semiramis Hotel! Set amongst the pine trees this hotel offers peace and tranquillity as well as an excellent base from which to go exploring. Set on several levels the rooms are spacious with en suite bathrooms and scrupulously clean. Plenty... More

My husband and I had a truly memorable and delightful experience at Semiramis Hotel over our three night stay. The owner, Mr Iacovides, is a kind hearted, attentive and generous person, a true gentleman. The other staff were also caring and accommodating. Thank you Mr Iacovides and family! A generous and delicious breakfast is included in the room rate which is exceptionally... More

This place is great and very good value. The hotel is in an old traditional house, which has a lot of charm and each room is very cozy and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms very clean. There is internet throughout, although it was intermittent and slow. The breakfast was really nice though and served in the... More

This is a small family run hotel with great character and charm. The staff could not be more helpful and attentive including the owner. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. Breakfast was included in the room rate and served on the outside terrace under shady trees. A choice of cooked eggs as well as cheese, ham and... More

Nice hotel, but the man running it is paranoid, and accused us of many things, yelled at us, slammed hands on desk. All this happened after I wanted to make sure the Wifi worked before booking a room because I am a professor and had a book chapter due and needed to know I could email it. The man also... More

Wife, husband and his father together are most friendly and attentive, running this small hotel and its companion Taverna in this village high in the Cyprus mountains but within an hour and a quarter's drive from Pafos airport.

Stopped over this place as we were driving through the mountains. It wasn't anything special, however €50 for a bed and warm shower, it was accommodating. That isn't the reason for recommending this little hotel for a stop over. The owner Iacovos (Jack) was an exceptional person who went beyond the expectation of service to make us feel taken care... From the moment we were welcomed into the hotel by the kindly Jack, and entered the unique octagonal hall leading to our charming room, we knew we'd found a great place to stay even though the weather wasn't kind to us that weekend. Our room was wonderful with an excellent bed and huge bathroom with luxurious bath to soak in... More

This is a family run hotel and a warm welcome was given by all staff. The Village restaurant, also run by the family, is worth a visit for it's honest traditional food. The terrace where breakfast is served is serene. The food is always fresh and tasty. The rooms are a good size and comfortable, in a rustic way. I... More
