This is a beautiful and charming hotel in the heart of a small but lovely village. This is the place to slow down, walk around and just marvel in the beauty of the lake and this tiny town nestled at the base of the mountains. There are few places to eat in town but the hotel does have a cafe...

Picturesque place, staff were lovely. Not a lot of restaurants to choose from in the square, and they close early. We stayed well overtime but were not rushed into leaving .. make sure you try the apple strudel!! ☺

Beautiful place. An old but renueved building, nicely and triditionally decorated restaurant. Foods are average, but good atmosphere inside. I recommend the front tables those have marketplace view. Better to be careful, if you drop valuables unwittingly, you may not find it anymore.

It used to be said, "See Naples and die." Hallstatt is a leading contender for the honour of being the latterday replacement and should be on everyone's bucket list - especially if one has ambitions to be a photographer! I've been a number of times and choose Marktplatz as my base if accommodation there is available, but this is a...

I chose this hotel primarily because of its location-at the centre of Hallstatt. A short walk from the ferry landing and very convenient for those who travel with big luggage. Our room was cozy with a small balcony facing the beautiful lake. Hallstatt is all about the view..so it is highly recommended you ask for a room with balcony facing...

Was a little disappointed in this hotel considering the price. The front desk is shared with the bar on the ground floor, and the waitress also helped us check in and out. when we noticed the remote for the TV was missing and went downstairs to ask, no one was there, and when I did find someone they said help...

Hotel is ideally situated near town square. Our rooms were on the top floor with a postcard view over town square, of the church spire, with lake and mountains beyond. Hotel and rooms recently renovated due to flash flooding (photos of all the damage were in their lobby), but not quite finished off when we were there. Room fridges were...

Despite its relative higher prices, we chosen to stay here for 2 nights. One of the main reason is "lake view". We live in the 2nd floor and there is a nice balcony outside the room. It has a small table and 2 chairs, which will be excellent if "lake view" is present. We can hardly see the lake because...

This was one of the best experience in a hotel we had in Austria. Hallstatt is an amazing little town and this hotel made it even better. First thing you need to know is that this hotel is very modern, and it complements marvelously the charm of Hallstatt. Rooms are nothing but almost new. Showers are amazing, the bed are...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Small and fine Guests may stay in one of your 12 rooms and can decide between view onto the lake or to the mountains - whatever you choose, you will not regret it. Cupboards and chairs are eco-furniture made of solid Swiss stone pine wood a local joiner manufactures for our hotel. Since the extensive refurbishment in 2014 all rooms have been equipped with box spring beds, high-end bathrooms as well as WiFi, TV, radio and telephone. The large wooden balconies and the comfortable small pub garden on the market square offer opportunies for a big breakfast, as does the breakfast room itself, where you may start your day in a most enjoyable way. ... more   less
