Nicely situated hotel, very close to Graz main attractions. It was clean and overall seemed to be very well maintained, room nice & cozy. However, need to say the Wifi perception kind of sucked - frequent disconnect and unstable connection, which was very annoying I need to say. Also there is an underground parking garage, which I don't know if was on purpose (maybe another Go Green initiative in Austria to save up some electricity?) or just temporary, but it was dark in there like a hell. Only few light were on, literally pushing you to use your cell phone torch to gain some light. Also be ready to take some stairs from the parking lot in order to get up to the front desk. Parking fee is 17 EUR per day, but remember asking for some card - which I had to specifically ask for + remind at the check out I used the garage, so you don't end up paying full price (which I think was some ridiculous 36 EUR?). Other than that it was ok - anyways spent 80%+ of time out of the hotel. :)

I arrived earlier than check in and my room was ready. I'd reserved a superior room, with view. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the 'view'. There were a couple of bee hives as my immediate view and further away was a shed with bins. I guess every room has a window and therefore a view! I requested another room, as I was disappointed with the superior room and its view. The next room was on the fourth floor, so the view was better, but I still got to see the laundry delivery etc. The rooms are clean, but considering that it's a new hotel, the flooring is already chipped and scratched. There is no character to the rooms. Modern and bare.
One of the things that didn't sit right with me and something that I haven't faced in a four star hotel before, was that I was expected to give my credit card over on arrival and not only did they book the cost of the room, they booked a further €25 per day! I was told that it was like a deposit or for car parking! Really? I arrived by train!

The hotel is situated in a good location. Its not to far from the most important sites.

Breakfast was excellent! Exactly what I would expect from a four star hotel. Plenty of choice for everyone.

Due to Covid restrictions, the mini bar was empty and the hospitality tray had been removed. It is possible to receive those on request.

One evening, I returned to my room, to find that the cleaning crew had cleaned my room and left both windows wide open! It was freezing cold! I did report that to reception, but they were also at a loss as to why that had been done.

The staff at reception were very helpful.

Dear Sir/Madame, thank you very much for your stay and for the time to share your feedback with us. Your review has been forwarded to all departments. A deposit is common sense in the international hotel business, this is not specific for parking, it is for any occurring extras which may also include parking at some time but not in your case. At check out, the deposit is of course released. For the inconveniences caused by the open window, we would like to apologize. We are happy that you enjoyed your visit at the NH Graz City and hope to welcome you again soon. Kindest regards, R. Edelsbrunner, NH Graz City

This hotel provided no service at all. Since the housekeeping hasn’t come to clean up our room at 1:30pm, called the front desk for room make-up service and also asked for slippers as the staff couldn’t find them the previous night (no one informed us until I followed up , we waiting in the room for more than a hour) Could never imagine that the lady who picked up the phone asked me to first come down to reception to give her the room number in order to provide cleaning service (and also collect slippers ourselves). This doesn’t make sense at all. I never heard this kind of service from a hotel. When we came down to lobby, people were queuing for check-in. We waited for about 20mins, another front desk lady told us there were no slippers available until next week. I didn’t know who was the non-sense I was talking to over the phone. Face to face to give feedback, no response, emailed to give feedback, no reply. That was crazy! The next day the housekeeping didn’t come until we returned at 3pm. Our room included a late checkout at 5pm and when we returned we asked the ponytail man at front desk if we could checkout 15 mins late for packing just in case, replied “we need the room” even there was no housekeeping to tidy up...rushed down to checkout at 5pm but queuing more than 15mins! Did they really need the room at 5pm? Not to mention all the convenience caused by them was much more than 15mins of time wasted. No more “nH” brand next time.

We booked a room for 3 adults for 3 nights in Jan 2020. We checked in hotel and then rushed out to sightseeing. Upon our return to the room very late that night, we found that it was a handicapped room. All toilet facilities were designed for handicapped guest. The toilet seat was tall with no cover and the mirror was set in waist level that we're not able to use it. When we asked the reception why they've put us in a handicapped room. Their reply was because we requested a twin bedroom and all their twin bedrooms with extra guest are handicapped rooms. There's no description about it on the online booking. Should I'd been informed of it, I'd have changed my choice of hotel.
This hotel is the least attentive hotels when compared with other hotels I stayed in the neighbourhood country. All other hotels provded amenities for 3 guests in our room, except that NH Graz paid not attention that we have 3 adults staying in the room. Always missing a bath towel, tea cup, etc.
Despite of above, the breakfast was great with fresh food and a lot of choices

Arrived at 13h on a very quiet day, hotel seems totally empty, i m the only customer in sight during the 20mns i spent at the reception, the receptionist tells me the check in is at 15h, pretending that none of the rooms is clean yet. But latter admit they are plain rigid on check in time, while rooms are ready.
Once I m back at 4pm, I ask to be set as far as possible from the lift, she checks and hand me a key, telling me its remote, went up to floor 2, the room is literally in front of the lift doors!
Went back and waited to be changed room, this time I walk in the room, it's a corner one, has almost no windows and the bathroom floor is filthy with foreign hairs, disgusted, I go back again to the reception and get a 3rd room, for the pain she upgrades me (not a big effort though, I m gold member with NH programme).
Again bathroom floor has foreign hairs, the seat seat has litter on it. Seems that they really don't clean the rooms, but they charge them well. 130€ for that is rather inconvenient.
They deducted the price of the breakfast as a compensation, not am efforts neither after I stayed in a dirty room.
I m sure there are far cleaner hotels in thr city where personnel care really about customers, this is Austria after all, not 3rd world.
Other than that, their bar is shut off, the breakfast is good, location is centric, and there is a car parking next door / under the hotel almost.
The NH despite good potential is not made for tourist looking for a 4*, eventually at best business customers that don't look about the cleanliness much and definitely cater to customers that don't look value for money.

Really enjoyed my time at NH Graz City. The staff were lovely and helpful. I had a business reservation and then a personal one. The receptionist (didn't get her name, but she was wonderful) was able to smoothly transition over to the other reservation without me having to switch rooms. As for accommodations and amenities, the breakfast has a large variety of healthy food available. The hotel does have a small gym. The rooms themselves are rather modern and mine came with A/C fortunately. The unit wasn't very efficient, but it may have been having trouble with the abnormally hot temperatures. The location of this hotel is ideal if you want to relax after work and take a stroll through town or on vacation! It is close to the Schlossberg (castle on hill), which is one of the highlights of the town. The hotel is about 30 min walk away from the main train station, little far but there are other options available too.

We were in Graz again during Advent and we chose the NH Graz City again. The location is ideal for reaching all the important hotspots in just a few minutes. The room, a "superior", is large, spacious and, above all, everything is very clean. The breakfast buffet has everything, and on request, eggs can be prepared freshly in a variety of ways, from fried eggs to omelettes. The staff is very friendly. The car can be parked in the underground car park, but - a small downside - this costs €22 for 24 hours. Nevertheless, the hotel is the only option for us for a city trip to Graz.

We booked the room on the reception, where lady told us that standard rooms were booked and sold us some room that was about 174 euro per night without breakfast. The room was dirty: the floor was scratched, the walls were stained with colored pencils, furniture was very poor. The washbasin also was not properly cleaned. There was no even a bottle of water for guests, only mini bar! The internet in the room was very weak. And btw on booking.com our room with provided facilities and size was mentioned as Standard for 149 euro. The hotel is totally overpriced! Not recommend!

Dear NewDelhiSanjay, thank you very much for your message. It depends where you descend. If you descend at "Girardigasse" you are directly in the City Center, there are a lot of taxis available. Furthermore the Bus 30 (direction Geidorf) goes from the Jakominisquare (next to the flix bus station) to the Karmelitersquare where the hotel is located. Best regards,

Dear Resort00254586827, thank you very much for your message. The easiest way is to go by tram. The tram lines are 1,3,6,7. You descend at the main central square (HAUPTPLATZ) and you walk up the SPORGASSE to the KARMELITERPLATZ. The NH Graz City is located on the corner of the Karmeliterplatz. Single Ticket for the tram costs €2,40 and can be purchased directly at the central train station. Best regards,
