The hotel's publicity material claims that "At the Hotel Daniel in Graz, guests can concentrate on the essentials. Everything unnecessary is dispensed, meaning you have dispensation to relax. In each of the 107 rooms the features aren't just in step with your needs, but rather one step ahead." Those needs do not appear to include, in the hotel management's eyes,...

This is my third stay here at the Daniel for business (it's our "preferred" corporate hotel) and normally all is pretty good - the breakfast is not bad and normally staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this time this is not the case - TV in my room was not working and even though I told someone in the morning...

I have stayed here for 5 nights now and find the hotel to be more than expected. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most speak English, if not all of them. The showers are amazing. Overall the hotel is clean and quiet. Depending on the time of year you visit, know that you will likely need to keep the windows...

Knowing the Hotel Daniel in Vienna (which I love!), I booked their hotel in Graz for a weekend trip. The concept is very much urban classic, shabby chic, organic and smart. It is located directly at the train station and there are 2 trams that go directly to the main square (5 stations). We booked the smallest room available "SMART"....

Dear ginisita3, Thank you very much for your very detailed review. We always appreciate getting feedback from our guests, your notes can help us improve our service quality. As you already noticed, the Daniel Graz has been around for much longer than the Daniel Vienna and is located in a historic building. The bathroom design was created specifically in order...

We had no previous expectations of Hotel Daniel, and were surprised by its accessibility (we came by car and were able to park right in front of the entrance), the trendy reception/lounge area and the clean, minimalistic, cosy rooms. The staff was super friendly, and as the hotel is quite central, there are several stores nearby and it only takes...

We wanted a simple hotel close to the train station. I was surprised by how smart the small room was, it didn't feel as small as it actually was. The bed could have been softer, but all in all we had a good stay.

I stayed here for a night a couple of weeks ago. Pretty swank for a reasonably-priced train station-adjacent hotel. The only quirk was a lack of desk in the room, but besides that all good. Bathroom was nice. Breakfast buffet was great, though a bit of a zoo, I suspect due to being there on a Sunday. But staff kept...

We had a very comfortable stay here whilst being in Europe for the Christmas markets. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient. We had room 508 which overlooked the station. Once we were used to the room's unusual, but very practical, set up all was good and we were most comfortable. The rooms are well-ordered and thought out and we...

I recognize that I had high expectations before staying here. I am a big fan of its famous breakfast in Vienna. Check out and Check in were both very lengthy due to the queue. Only one person at the reception during rush hours (saturday afterrnoon and sunday morning) is too little. The chip card is not very easy to use....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tastefully taken back to basics, moving away from cumbersome hospitality and towards the uncomplicated and a sense of well-being - this is what Hotel Daniel has specialised in. "Smart Luxury" perfectly caters for today's travellers and their requirements: Intelligently equipped rooms, with a timeless, aesthetic design, 'rain-dance' showers in the daytime and free WiFi all over the building. Check in is looked after in the espresso bar, which is open 24 hours and located in the generously sized hotel loft. With a fireplace in the lounge, it's also the perfect place for relaxation and reading or for business, which is already fun by breakfast time here. After all, the breakfast is the best in the city. The Daniel is within 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre and busses and trams run from next to the train station. Or explore the surroundings with the vespas or the original Piaggio Ape Calessino from the Daniel's own 'vehicle. ... more   less
