You wouldn't think much of this hotel if you passed by it on the street, but get into the rooms and you have a modern, well appointed, hotel that has lots of original art displayed throughout the hotel and in your room. It is about a 20-30 minute walk from the Old Town, but everything in Graz is rather close so it is easy to get to most places from here. The breakfast buffet was very generous and if the weather is nice I recommend sitting outside in the courtyard which is very relaxing. A good find at a good price.

We had a great stay at the Augarten Hotel. At first we were nervous from seeing the outside of the building (looked a bit old) but once we checked into the room we were very happy. The room was a spacious apartment which was convenient since we were travelling with our baby. The door to your room is from the outside which we had no issues with as we had great weather the whole week. We had some rain but it did not cause any issues. The staff were super friendly and helpful always during our stay and when our room was cleaned they did a great job replenishing. I think they noticed we had our baby and left us a couple extra towels which was so appreciated! We had breakfast a few times at the hotel and it was great with many options, lots of cold cuts, pastries and fresh cooked eggs to your liking. We also appreciated the hotel bar/cafe that was open 24/7. We were about a 12-15 minute walk from the city center which was very convenient as well. It was nice to stay a bit outside of the busy touristy areas and walking back to our hotel we had no issues, it was safe.

If you enjoy a Sauna or swim after a long tourist day, the Augarten is a good choice. It‘s a approx. 10 min walk away from the historic centre and worth it. The hotel is very stylish with lots of modern art. The rooms are large and well furbished. Breakfast offers a very good variety of items including smoked salmon, fresh fruit (also banana). All staff are super friendly. All in all excellent value.

This hotel is located close to the center of Graz within walking distance, but in an area away from the crowds. It has parking in the basement. All the premises are very clean and the decoration is pleasant. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The staff is friendly and professional and the breakfast is quality.

Hotel with lots of art inside (and outside too :))) There is also a nice pool and a gym. The penthouse is spacious, with lots of design and a rocking chair. Unfortunately, the shower cap was missing in the bathroom; another drawback is that the hotel does not have a restaurant (but does have a snack menu). On one day of our stay, the terrace that can be used with the penthouse was used for exercises by a yoga group of around 15 people, which is why we (2 people) were warned (!!!) by the leader of the yoga group to be quiet. No one had informed us that yoga classes were taking place on the terrace. The reception and bar are open 24 hours a day. Since the reception also serves the bar, the whole thing is not routinely done by the bartenders. The selection of drinks at the bar (e.g. gin selection = 1 gin) is limited. The nearest restaurant (hearty Austrian cuisine) is around 500 m away. The hotel says it is close to the city center. In fact, it is +/- 2 km on foot.

This hotel was a couple blocks from the main streets. It was very unique and the hotel room was big. The amenities are very nice with a beautiful pool and sauna. We loved our stay and the staff were more then accommodating while we left our luggage until a late flight the next day.

Nice place. First I’ve seen a problem - parking garage is for car with max. high of 2,1m and we were traveling with Thule box on the roof of our SUV - but lady from reception provided as nice parking in hotel area. Problem solved. We spend just 1 nigh in the hotel so got breakfast only - nice one, good and delicious. And, owner of the hotel is former F1 pilot so there is Sebastian Vettel helmet with personal note to the hotel owner in the lobby.

Dear Traveltog,
our augartenhotel art & design is approximately a 15 minutes tram ride away from the train station. You can take line 1,3,6 and 7 straight to Jakominiplatz and then change to either line 4 (direction Liebenau) or 5 (direction Puntigam). After one stop at the Finanzamt it is a one minute walk and you arrive at our hotel. The city center you can easily reach by foot within 5 to 10 minutes. We hope to welcome you soon at our house.

1. At the street around the hotel, costs Euro 1,80 per hour from 09h00 until 20h00. Maximum stay 3 hours.
2. At the hotel garage, costs Euro 2,50 per hour, for hotel guests Euro 12,00 per night.
