Detailed Reviews
We stayed over one night in 2 persons.
We liked the room, but the bedrooms might be wider.
Bathroom clean and nice, just hearing all-night-long running ventilor there was unpleasant, no idea why it has been running without stop.
Breakfast varied and excellent.
We parked the car in nearby streed in green/blue zone parking for free during night until 9am during work-days.

Room Tip: I spent here a night in 4 people, received better and more cosy room than today in 2 people....

The single room is very small, but the bathroom is even smaller, the sink is installed in such a way that you have to squeeze past it to get into the shower and the toilet is not accessible without a barrier. The table in the room is also installed in such a way that there is perhaps 30 cm between the table and the bed to walk past. For this type of room and area, the price of €70.00 per night is definitely too much.
I was really positively surprised by the breakfast, I don't know what else I was missing, from various egg dishes or bread/pastries to vegetables, everything was there, it was impeccable.

Receptionist polite and nice.
Small bar attached. Mixing mixed drinks should be practiced again...
Room (family room) was big enough.
The unfolded bed was OK. Bed linen smelled good and had no creases.
View from the room (2nd floor) was of flat land, air conditioning and climbing wall - that wasn't great but it was quiet at night.
Outside blinds available.
Unfortunately we didn't have hot water. When we asked the next morning, we were told that there was a problem.
Only when we asked did we get a reduction in the bill (20 euros).
Breakfast OK.
Staff in the breakfast room difficult to find and quite unmotivated.
Location close to the city center Christmas market.

+1
The JUFA Hotel in Graz impresses with its very beautiful rooms, which are characterized by their cleanliness and attractive furnishings. Guests can look forward to spacious, comfortable accommodations that invite you to relax. The friendly and courteous staff, who always strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible, deserve special mention. The employees are always on hand to offer help and advice and their warm manner contributes significantly to the positive atmosphere of the hotel.
One area in which the hotel still has room for improvement is the culinary offering. The food is served in buffet form or from a small à la carte menu with a moderate selection. However, both the quality of the products and the preparation and taste leave something to be desired. It may be fine for school classes, but as a business traveler it is not enough for me. However, the hotel allows food to be delivered via a delivery service.
Overall, the JUFA Hotel in Graz offers pleasant accommodation with excellent service, although the gastronomic offering should be optimized to round off the positive overall impression.

Everything was as we desired.
The hotel parking is nicely situated in front of the hotel and in between buildings.
A very professional lady at the reception gave us a very warm welcome and explained in details everything we needed to know about our stay, room and the hotel.
The bar serves excellent local Puntigamer beer which was recommended by a very professional lady at the bar.
The entrance, lobby, reception desk, bar, shop and restaurant are very nicely designed and arranged.
The room and bathroom are very tidy and perfectly clean.
The beds are very comfortable, the linen is good quality and the towels are soft.
Slept like a baby. :)
The breakfast is so perfect that you have to experience it yourself.
The girl at the reception at check-out professionally explained all details regarding our hotel bill prior to payment.
Thank you Jufa Hotel Graz.

The bathroom was clean and there was a rentable parking space in front of the hotel.
The adjacent climbing hall (for a fee) is a great change during rainy days.
But the first disappointment was the closed climbing or play area. In the room were strange long black hair on the floor, the areas next to the beds were very dusty. The climate, the outside blinds and the TV did not work. The janitor had tried the TV tuning the next day - without success. You couldn't sleep in the heat (August) with the window open, because outside teenagers were screaming like on a spit! There were several bugs/cockroaches in the room, which we then took with us in the suitcase. The buffet at breakfast was quickly eaten empty and it was not really restocked. Staff were indifferent and rather overwhelmed - no matter what the concern. All defects were reported by us - could not be corrected. On departure they just said: we should have insisted on another room - the management would get back to us with a reparation. Now a few weeks have passed - no email, nothing at all. Not recommended!!

The only thing I though I was going to like about this property was breakfast. Until food, cutlery, coffee, and hot water for tea disappeared 1,5 hours before the breakfast was supposed to end. Even after my numerous requests the water was not refilled. I was told by the employee that they were understaffed so she couldn’t do anything about it.
The entire hotel is old and dirty. The walls, the doors - everything needs renovation. I had an amazing “graffiti” in my room (see picture attached). The breakfast was missing.
They are indeed terribly understaffed - there was a long queue to check in and to check out. The staff did not react on my complaints in any way.
Moreover room had an amazing view at disposal containers. What a thrill at 150 EUR a night 😖

Response from Hoteldirektor Graz, Sonstige at Jufa Hotel Graz City
Responded 28 Jul 2022
Dear Mrs. Hud: We are very sorry for your unpleasant stay at our Hotels. unfortunately, by mistake, your room which was suppose to be closed for renovation, was accidentally opened for service, even though the renovation has not taken place. we are sincerely sorry for that. and to make it up to you, we are offering you one night stay free of charges to you, outside closed dates (Formula 1, Christmas and New Year eve, Euro-skills, and some other dates which are already fully booked in Prime period) . As far for your comments about hot water for tea "disappearing" one and half hour prior the end of the breakfast, I do have to wonder from where it "disappeared" since we do not have separate hot water dispenser... our coffee machines are from where our Guests are taking hot water for Tee, and they are on 24/7. once again, we are very sorry that you have been disappointed with our Hotel, however I do have to mention that the majority from our Guests have a very positive experience with JUFA Hotels, as we are constantly working to improve the quality of the services we are offering. We are looking forward to have you again by us for a much more pleasant stay. With kind regards, Your JUFA Hotel Graz City Team

The staff was incredibly nice, the breakfast buffet was as expected, but the hotel itself was unfortunately a flop. We booked the JUFA specifically because of the children's areas (indoor & outdoor), and they were a joke. The "playground" consisted of 2 rocking animals (one of which was cordoned off) and the children's playroom had a climbing wall and a wooden platform with a slide (unsuitable for small children) as well as a small play stove, an incorrectly hung and therefore unusable activity board and broken autumn decorations. In a normal hotel this would have been great (except for the broken decorations), but not when you advertise it specifically and the hotel name is derived from YOUNG FAMILY - I expect more. Especially for that price.
The room was very small and unfortunately the cleaning staff only made up the blankets but didn't empty the trash cans. Parking costs €12/day and isn't even in a garage. Not centrally located, no supermarkets or restaurants nearby.
Unfortunately definitely not recommended!

Small room, just enough to sleep in. Small bath towel, just enough to dry off (not to make you feel comfortable). But a reasonable price. I would book again. Extensive breakfast: not just bread and pastries, various types of cheese and sausage, also several types of cereal, fruit, hot dishes like sausages, egg dishes, etc. I just can't recommend the orange juice.

Great hotel, short walk to train station, excellent AC, helpful reception, great breakfast, good local beer on tap, good beds, clean rooms.
The one thing I could put my finger on is the curtains in the room are not that good at keeping light out when the morning sun pops up.
This was my second stay when going on MotoGP race at Red Bull Ring, which is just a train ride away.
