I really enjoyed the room, there was quite some space and it looked really pretty, just as the hotel itself :)
The only thing a little bit odd is that you basically share the balcony with everyone else on the floor.. And it's a little bit outside of Graz, if you're coming with your car it shouldn't be a problem though.. other than that amazing!^^ The breakfast buffet was good, there wasn't a lot of choice in my opinion, but enough to satisfy anyone.
+ Staff was very nice.
+ You can smoke in the Hotel bar, while you enjoy your beer.
+ Plenty of free parking spots.
+ Hotel restaurant is very cosy and has very good food. The salad with pumpkin seed oil was amazing.
+ Quiet
+ Rich breakfast
+ Air Condition
- Wifi didn't work in the room.
- Mini bar fridge didn't work
- Far away from city center. Stay here only if you have a car!
- You have to call the reception for adjusting the air condition
All in all I enjoyed my stay very much.
Run down. They allow smoking almost everywhere. So surprising for an advanced western country.
Wifi is hit and miss.
I blew it this time.
Rooms are spacious, with a lot of cupboard space and huge TV. There is a lot of light, since the whole wall towards the terrace is a glass panel. Terrace is shared with other rooms on that side of the hotel, but you can pull down the shutters for the privacy.
Beds are large and comfortable. Hotel is off the main streets so area is quiet and I found this a great place to sleep.
My room had WiFi (as far as I have seen, every room did) and it worked without any problems considering signal quality. TV has large selection of channels in English, German, Italian and Russian.
Bathroom is at odds with the rest of the room. It is clean (except some scale stains) and rather large, but without any amenities and with thin towels of dubious quality. Compared to the rest of the room it is very basic.
Breakfast is good, with lots of options, both warm and cold food. Cheese platter had interesting choices.
Bokan is located some 15 minutes of walking form the main railway station. There is a bus stop in the vicinity, but I did not use public transportation so I cant say much about connectivity. On thother hand, it is in a quiet and peacefull area, full of greens and fresh air.
There is a lot of parking space in front of the hotel, as well as in the garage. There are several bars and restaurants in the same street some 10 minutes of walk away.
The cleaning was not my problem, my room was clean enough, but the lobby couches were really dirty though.
Breakfast was really good, the location is quiet and calm, and the room is comfortable.
The biggest problem was not having WiFi internet in the rooms, which is pretty shameful for a "business" hotel.
The exhaust fan is very lousy, and remains on for a long time after you leave the bathroom.
If you need to have dinner, the restaurant is on the other side of the street and close at 22:00, but there were a lot of smokers inside there. which was disgusting to me.
In the end, if you go there expecting a 4 stars hotel, you may be disappointed.
The breakfast was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. In general I would say that Bokan was an acceptable choice. I wouldn't mind going if I went to Graz on business again. However, if I for some reason would go there on vacation, I'd look elsewhere.
Things gets better during breakfast, which offers plenty of hot and cold choices, fresh fruits and reasonable coffee.
It isn't very close to city centre, but public transport is very good.
