Detailed Reviews
There are a lot of good things about this hotel: the staff was very friendly and accommodating (let us check in an hour early); the location was great (within easy walking distance to Schlossberg, Old Town, restaurants, shops, cafes); the room was clean, had what we needed, and surprisingly quiet seeing as we were on the street side (it might have helped that we were on the fifth floor?); and the buffet breakfast was good (plenty of options for meat-o-saurs and veggivores alike).
A neutral aspect was that there was garage parking onsite, but it did cost an additional 15 euro.
The only negative was that we weren't able to control the temperature in our room to make it cooler. (According to the very helpful staff member, due to the building's central heating/cooling, they operate by season, and March is still in the winter season, I guess, so no option for cooler air).

Everything about this hotel is good! This was my third stay and it couldn't have been more perfect! As a Gold member, I was upgraded to a Privilege room, which is just beautiful and still looks and smells completely new. It has a bit of an "industrial feel", though, as there is no carpet in the room, just a concrete floor.
Very generous amenities in the bathroom (including toothbrushes, shaving kits etc.), a huge TV with lots of channels, fantastic soundproofing, no noise whatsoever from the outside (or the inside for that matter). The room is spotless.
Breakfast is great too with a huge spread. Parking garage underneath the hotel - 15 EUR per day. Very nice staff! Thank you for making my stay so perfect. I'll be back soon!

It's a good fit at the Mercure Graz. The rooms are up to date and on hot summer nights the air conditioning cools efficiently and quietly. The breakfast is beyond reproach and the youthful service at the front desk deserves praise. In the trendy Lendviertel district of Graz in the immediate vicinity there are restaurants, bars and cafes in abundance. It's beautiful here.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. The staff was very helpful, eager to explain us where to go in the city, and always asking about our well-being. The breakfast is also very good, with varieties of food. There are a lot of cafes around the hotel, and the hotel is in the walking distance from the city center.
The only thing that we didn't like is that for the first night we got a room that had some problems with electricity. After losing the power during my shower and showering in the dark, they got us another room, but smaller than the first one. At the end, we have changed the room for the second time, and finally everything was ok (except some random hair on the sheets). I think that we just had a bad luck with this issue, I guess it won't happen to you, but it is questionable why they got us the room with electricity problem in the first place.

We stayed for 2 nights recently. Due to specific offer, we received a priviledged room which was much more spacious and the mini bar was free.
The hotel best part is its location. Its a few minutes walk from Schlossbahn, Murinsel and Kunsthaus. There are several nice restaurants nearby. Right next to teh hotel is the farmer's market and several stores including SPAR, HAFER and BILLA.
The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and overall the hotel gives a spacious feeling like the lobby and stairs are much wider.

We spent three nights in the Graz Mercure and we had a lovely time. Our privilege room (upgraded due to my Accor gold status) was spacious and comfortable, with a nice view over the city and the Schlossberg. Soundproofing was excellent - although there was a bar below our window, we coldn't hear anything (and I'm normally very sensitive to all kinds of noise). Breakfast was delicious (the coffee was exceptionally good). The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was 15 EUR/night, reasonable. There is a great food market near the hotel, several supermarkets, and it's walking distance to all Graz attractions.
