I am writing this review even though we were not at the hotel.
We had booked for one night in mid-September, until 3 days before that free cancellation was possible. Two days before - now that I'm writing - it's too
Rain has begun, it will continue to rain for days and flooding and flooding is trending in large parts of Austria. We would have to go from Tyrol to Graz. There is a really high risk of severe weather - both here and in the south of Austria.
We had to cancel with a heavy heart.
I asked at the hotel for goodwill of the cancellation fee (full price) and very soon got the answer that it will be waived under these circumstances.
It is simply nice to point out that there are also such guesthouses that think and act human. Thank you!!! to the team from Marienhof - we will come sometime..... and recommend the house for sure!

We stayed here for two nights! It is spotlessly clean. Nice staff and and the breakfast was nice too. Interesting that you can boil your eggs to your desired firmness and they have fresh squeezed orange juice. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and very convenient to the central square. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

My wife and I were traveling through the area and did not want to stay in the city direct. This place was a perfect answer! It had the perfect balance of close to the city but not to close and very easy to get to the Metro. the breakfast was great and the price was outstanding. Our room as on the first floor but the view was great and it was very very spacious we will be staying again the next time we pass though.

We stayed at Hotel Marienhof in Graz for 4 nights (Thursday to Sunday) using it as our base for attending the Austrian Grand Prix at Spielberg. Party consisted of one couple and two singles, and we had the Hotel Apartment which has a double room, two single rooms plus toilet, shower room and kitchenette. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, staff are friendly and the breakfast was excellent. It’s well located for both Graz city centre and for touring Styria region. Recommended.

I stayed two nights in this Hotel, and I was really amazed by the friendliness of the staff. The Hotel is super clean, rooms are huge, everything works just great. I liked the breakfast very much, it was a buffet and they have a wide selection. The price of the hotel is very reasonable for the value. I traveled by car, so free parking was a great benefit, I could reach downtown in 5-8 minutes. Wifi is reliable and fast, had no problem. Overall, I am very satisfied and would definitely return to this hotel again. Thanks!

If you want to stay in Graz, have a car and do not want to spend a fortune, then the Marienhof is the place for you. Lovely views on the garden, the city and the surrounding hills; large - albeit basic - rooms; ample and lighty windows; a good buffet breakfast; plenty of room to park your car. A nice place, we'll go there again.

Amazing breakfast buffet!!! Enough choices, everything is there, you can boil your own eggs (for soft boil at least 3 minutes) hot chocolate amazing and freshly pressed juice from a juicer is amazing. The location is wonderful even though it's about fifteen minutes away from the city center by public transportation.

We stayed here 3 nights as it was close to where our son lives and were happy with our room. We had chosen a superior room and it was large and had good views across to the hills. The staff were very helpful. We weren't impressed with breakfast but it was adequate and it is a pity dinner wasn't served. Overall, however, we liked the friendliness of this small hotel and would certainly stay again when next in Graz.

I recently stayed here on a business trip and even got the "Wellness Room" which included a light therapy booth and a water jug with crystals in the bottom. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great with boil-your-own eggs and even scrambled eggs and bacon as an option. The location is fine but bit of a walk from the old city. It's close to a grocery store and up the hill there is a nice park with an observatory. The light therapy was a bit unusual as it included a few space heaters and a bench with back rests, all enclosed in a glass shower stall. Somewhat psychedelic but it would have been better to have a steam room.

Stayed here for three nights and was very comfortable, staff went out of their way to get to know you and were very friendly. Breakfast was very enjoyable and there was plenty of choice. Dinner at a nearby recommended restaurant was delicious and a short walk down the hill (about 5 minutes)
