The hotel is in a good location, near restaurants, near a supermarket and near other touristic locations.
The breakfast was good, most of the stuff were BIO. The view from the breakfast restaurant is great, the staff is polite.
The room was kind of small, but it was nice, all glass around with automatic shutters in the morning to prevent Sun in the room.
The only down to the hotel is that they were not cleaning or tidying our beds, they were only replacing our towels by request only and emptying the dustbin. When we asked why, they said it is because of Covid precaution, it is weird though, I do not see the logic especially that they did not reduce the price due to the non availability of this service.
We asked for family room (with kids) and the shower was all glass which is difficult to take shower naked in from of our teenager kids.

We had room 1909 which faced east, nice view of mountains and even the old town, the castle, etc.
The room looked very new, modern, visible concrete, the shower area is open so you should be a couple or so ;)
Staff was a bit insecure (one girl just started, so she did not know anything about the hotel).
Breakfast was very nice, lots of options, I did not expect that for this price. The view from the restaurant, which is on top of the building, is super nice.
We did not go to the Spa Area, as there are no Slippers and no bahtrobes in the room. How are you supposed to go to the Spa?!

Location is perfect, the old town/city centre is in walking distance from the Hotel. If needed there are also busses and trams available.

We stayed here for 3 nights we had a Mountain View room that accommodates 2 adults and 2 kids on a sleeper couch.

The view was spectacular and room was clean and spacious.

We also had breakfast one morning. The variety and freshness of the breakfast was absolutely Brillant

Close to the Salzburg Main train station and walking distance to the Salzburg attractions.

Will definitely stay in at Attie Hotel in future trips to Salzburg.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights for a NYE break in December 2019 and we had an extremely disappointing experience.

1. No basic tea/coffee making facilities in a hotel room (I was surprised a bit. In every single 4-star hotel I've stayed so far, each room had an espresso coffee machine & tea making facilities). When I asked the receptionist for tea/coffee making facilities, they asked me to deposit 20EUR to borrow a kettle from them and buy tea/coffee from the supermarket nearby. My reaction was: are you being serious now?).

2. Housekeeping was not good enough. The bed linen sheet was not clean. Sanitary items and Kleenex tissues in the bathroom were not refilled.

3. No concierge services. When we changed the room, we had to bring up and down our luggage by ourselves.

4. Hotel bar on a NYE is not reserved for hotel guests only. I found this very bizarre. Most 4- and 5-star hotels do not open their bars and restaurants to the public for the events for their hotel guests, but this hotel did not really prioritise their hotel guests.

All in all, we will not return to this hotel. Wynham hotel nearby could have been a better choice.

Dear Guest, I would like to thank you very much for taking the time to share with us and other travelers your latest experience at Arte Hotel Salzburg. I feel extremely sorry that you have been disappointed with your stay. I sincerely regret your unfortunate experience. Our Sky-Bar is a public bar and all these guests make a pre-reservation. Also, we do not offer porter service because we are not an American system hotel. But the Concierge service you get at our reception, everybody gives you information about the city and adventures. In spite of everything I really hope that you will take into consideration to visit us again soon, allowing us the opportunity to demonstrate the level of service you expect and deserve. With best regards Nadine Magner

Nice hotel within a walking distance from major town amenities. If you get a room at higher floor you'll enjoy nice panoramic view of the town. Altough hotel is near the main train station, there is no noise in the rooms. They have firm matresses but not so new I presume (mite/dust allergy started). A shower is divided by a glass see trough wall and a shear curtain, so sharing a room with someone who is not your partner could be challenging. Breakfast has wide variety and is served on top floor (15th) so you can enjoy city view. Hotel has it's garage (same entrance as Bahnhof garage) for a fee, and we were lucky as we had last empty spot in it.

We stayed at the Arte Hotel for three nights and it was a great base to explore Salzburg. The location is close to the train station, has bus stops outside but is also an easy walk to all attractions. There’s a supermarket and service station across the road for snacks/food/drinks.
The room was spacious and clean (mostly - the tv wasn’t working initially so when we looked behind it to check it was plugged in, we found a very thick layer of dust). There’s ample hanging and storage space and the room had a safe and little fridge which is always a bonus.
The bathroom is open and only separated from the rest of the room by a glass divider and sheer curtain on one side, so you need to be comfortable showering in front of who you’re sharing the room with! I was a bit worried about steam from the shower setting off the fire alarm with no door to contain it, but it wasn’t an issue.
The bar on level 14 has amazing views of Salzburg, a good drinks menu and friendly staff - definitely worth a visit!
We had a great stay and would happily choose to stay again when next in Salzburg.

We were lucky enough to have a room with a view of the mountains and fortress! The hotel was very tidy and had a roof top bar that we were able to enjoy on New Years Eve and had a view of the fireworks across the whole city skyline. The breakfast buffet was good and had the same amazing views we had come to enjoy during our stay at the hotel. The location is central and an easy walk to the train, restaurants and old town.

The location is very good for access to the train station and to the historic centre of Salzburg. The rooms are very well appointed and have great views, particularly for trainspotters if you're on the right side of the hotel. There's also a secure underground car park which does appear to fill up on weekends and isn't free but is very convenient.

The bar on the top floor is also worth a visit for a drink in the evening as you do get decent views of Salzburg.

There was a slightly questionable stain on the headboard and the breakfast seemed a little overpriced. Really these are very minor though and there's not much to count against this hotel.

This is a supposedly four star hotel. In fact it is far from that. My wife and I are staying for two days. We were disappointed to learn that it is "impossible" to check in before 3:00 pm. Also "impossible" to leave the bags at the front desk until the required check In time. Once we were in the room, we discovered that the air conditioning did not work. As the room has a strong exposure to the sun and that day the temperature was 28 degrees...sleeping was difficult. It was "impossible" to do anything about the malfunctioning air conditioning or to switch to another room....even though the hotel was clearly not very busy. When we tried to drink some bottled water from the fridge, we discovered that there was no bottle opener. This was another condition which proved "impossible" to correct. The hotel staff was unhelpful, rude and arrogant. Clearly the management needs to give its staff some training in basic customer relations. Overall an extremely disappointing experience. We will not stay either in this hotel or any other hotel of this chain. I strongly advise avoid this hotel.

Bedroom was clean and comfortable some rooms have marvelous view but ours had an excellent view of the petrol station across the road. Coffee/Tea was only available form a coin operated slot machine in the entrance hall. The staff at the desk were very efficient and helpful. Gluten Free rolls were provided for breakfast which was excellent but they did not understand what G F is and how important it is to keep items of food separate to avoid contamination. Some good hotels cook GF breakfast separately but for this hotel it was too much trouble!! When I asked if scrambled egg and bacon could be prepared separately the cook told us that he/she was too busy. I was told to collect mine when a new batch was put out. The butter was in sealed portions but jam accessible to everyone and loaded into tiny ice-cream cones . Survivable but not 4 *
