This hotel is strategically located near the Central railway station within short walking distance of 0.5 Km. It also has a large car park The rooms are large albeit old. It is also not far from the famous signature cake house of Salzburg.
We stayed here for 3 nights and totally loved the place for its location, cleanliness and proximity to the central station. We could easily walk to almost all tourist attractions in the town, and also the bus stations are quite close if you want to...More
Staff at this hotel are very efficient and helpful- all spoke English. Rooms a good size with well appointed bathroom - although lack of fan meant lots of steam! Lost marks due to incredibly uncomfortable pillows on bed. Fast, reliable wifi. Restaurant serves good quality...More
Amazing, beautiful hotel that accommodated us, including our medium sized dog when our original booking (at another hotel) fell through and we turned up at 5 pm in their lobby. They have a big parking lot at the back of the hotel. Very spacious and...More

This was my second visit to this hotel and when I do go back again to Salzburg this would be my first choice. We went in 2007 and again June of this year. The hotel restaurant and breakfast area have changed between visits. The hotel rooms are good sized and clean and comfortable. They look the same as when I went in 2007 but everything is in good shape. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station (less than a 5 min walk). There are buses you can take but Salzburg is a very walkable city. We were there for 6 days and only used the bus in the city twice. We ate two night in the old town area and two night at the Augustine's beer hall (personal favorite) and two night in the hotel bier garden. There is a supermarket in the train station now which is new. You can't get anything you need. There is also a laundromat from the hotel, maybe a 10 min walk or you can take the bus. The rooms are air conditioned we were there and they were having a heatwave (temp above 90 f) which is very rare for them. Had a superior double room when we stayed both times. breakfast is not included like it was in 2007 but there is a lot to choose from so we found it was worth it. We used Salzburg as a base and took the train to Werfen to do the ice caves and to Hallstadt and took the bus over to Bertchesgarden, Germany where we did the salt mine tour and went upon the Eagles nest. Anyway hope that helps, Salzburg is my wife and I favorite town this was our fourth trip there and I am ready to go back. Let me know if you have any questions. I know Salzburg really well. Also look into getting the Salzburg card worth the money
