I stayed on the 30 and 31st of December. Who ever was working on the front desk on those days provided exceptional customer service. The rooms were nice and the location was good. The restaurant was also very good. It is a very Service focused...More
A really lovely visit! The hotel was very clean, quiet and spacious and the staff were extremely helpful! There is a spa on the top floor which was free to use. The jacuzzi was empty (think this was due to it being a quiet time...More
I couldn't really fault this hotel. It's reasonably priced, within walking distance from the main drag with friendly staff and nice, clean rooms. There's also a sauna on the top floor! Would certainly stay here again and recommend to others.
I stayed at this lovely hotel over the Christmas period and was so impressed by staff, cleanliness, decor and size of rooms (even the single rooms)! My flight was delayed due to an incident and my friend called to let them know I would be...More

This was my second visit to this hotel and when I do go back again to Salzburg this would be my first choice. We went in 2007 and again June of this year. The hotel restaurant and breakfast area have changed between visits. The hotel rooms are good sized and clean and comfortable. They look the same as when I went in 2007 but everything is in good shape. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station (less than a 5 min walk). There are buses you can take but Salzburg is a very walkable city. We were there for 6 days and only used the bus in the city twice. We ate two night in the old town area and two night at the Augustine's beer hall (personal favorite) and two night in the hotel bier garden. There is a supermarket in the train station now which is new. You can't get anything you need. There is also a laundromat from the hotel, maybe a 10 min walk or you can take the bus. The rooms are air conditioned we were there and they were having a heatwave (temp above 90 f) which is very rare for them. Had a superior double room when we stayed both times. breakfast is not included like it was in 2007 but there is a lot to choose from so we found it was worth it. We used Salzburg as a base and took the train to Werfen to do the ice caves and to Hallstadt and took the bus over to Bertchesgarden, Germany where we did the salt mine tour and went upon the Eagles nest. Anyway hope that helps, Salzburg is my wife and I favorite town this was our fourth trip there and I am ready to go back. Let me know if you have any questions. I know Salzburg really well. Also look into getting the Salzburg card worth the money
