Average hotel, 40 minute walk to the old town of Salzburg. The receptionist charged us 15 euro for our dog for one night. Which is ridiculous as other much better places didn't charge or charged a small amount. Also the receptionist had her own dog inside the hotel running around, doing it's business all over the floor. The rooms were...

Older hotel, but seemed to be recently renovated. Very helpful desk clerk. Location good. Bus straight into city center. Noticed a brass plate on sidewalk in front of hotel saying that August Strasser had lived there. He was deported to Mauthausen and died February 7, 1945. We have been to Mauthausen, so it was especially meaningful to us.

This motel is located some distance from the town centre...too far to walk. The staff were friendly allowing us to check in early. Our room was a bit dated with garish furnishings. However, there was a huge bathroom and a small entry area. The bed was a bit ordinary. Car parking was close by.

The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and breakfast is good, enough to pick from, but not to large. The room was nice and had everything we needed. Everything worked fine in our room and wifi was good. However the hotel is far from the city centre and expensive

A really bad and creepy hotel with improvable impression. Service is (almost) not existing and communication is really bad. I wouldn't go there again. In case you plan a Salzburg trip, please spend your money somewhere else - it’s not worth at Vogelweiderhof.

Not sure why lot of people gave such bad feedback about this hotel, but we had a pleasant stay here. Stayed for 2 nights in July 2015 with family. Hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Room was spacious and clean. Parking was on a side street (one way) which was an inconvenience. Overall I liked the...

If I could give this place a negative rating it would be too kind. First of all, don't believe any of the pix you see about this place....that is a lie. We arrived, checked in at a cost of almost 200 Euros, found the door was already open due to the deadbolt latch being broken, shower has no curtains, and...

We booked the hotel because it was cheap so we didn't really have high expectations. So it should be saying a lot when I say that we were DISAPPOINTED. We came at reception desk around 14:40 (checkout is after 14:00) annd there was noone. We called the number we had and the number that was given at reception - noone...

Terrible experience. AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!! Far away from the center and from the attractions of Salzburg and on a street with heavy traffic that makes very loud noises all night. Most of the stuff in the room is broken: hairdryer broken, security box, shower broken, phone not working) and the bathroom had mold. We had very cold in the room...
