If you look for honest austrian home made food, this is the place to be. They menu is only in german but you can get some good recommendations fron the waiters, very helpful and speedy. The terrace where food is served is a quiet spot from which you can see the view

For our group of 150 people, a one and a half our walk around the Gaisberg was organized for us. When we returned 5 kilometers wearier we greeted at the gate with glasses of typical Austrian Walnut schnapps. Once inside the Biergardens we were afforded wonderful views of the Salzkammer land reaching to Großgelöcker and Berchtesgarden accompanied by chilled beer....

Best Place ever. Best rooms,best view,best Food. fantastic Rundvanderweg. They don,t come better. One minus............you need car or taxi to get into Salzburg. All employees are extremely attentive. Gaisberg Mountain is peacefull and tranquill. A Place you always will want to come back to. They serve a wonderfull Oxen Gekockte. Waking up With the most beautiful view of th surrounding...

The hotel is about halfway up the Gaisberg to the east of Salzburg. The hotel is a traditional old-style mountain hotel - do not expect internet access, but do expect great views of the city, clear cool air and mountain walks. Rooms are decently large. The hotel has been run by the same family for 4 generations. The restaurant provides...
