We had a car, so the locatoim was no problem. (Ask Frau Ballwein about downtown parking, she can explain how to save money on parking. There are plenty of underground parking lots at a reasonable price in Salzburg.) Or you can take the bus right in front of the house to go to the city center. Salzburg is small and crowded,...

This is a family run inn outside of town. Nice place to enjoy a quiet view of the mountains. There is a farm next door so you will hear the cows come in for milking. We had a car and it is a quick drive into town where they have a very nice parking garage set up. The room was...

The stay at Haus Ballwein was a real joy. The family is a wonderful host, very accomodative. The rooms are big, nicely decorated and clean. The bus station in front of the building takes you into the city in 10 min but you have the feeling you are staying in the countryside.

While in Bavaria, I specifically requested to stay in places that vibe Bavaria. this place lived up to expectations. First off, it's in an old farm house that the owners have converted. It's very cozy, and still remains highly authentic. This adds to a lot of its charm. The second thing that makes this place so great is the location....

This charming bed-and-breakfast was a combination of convenience to downtown by a bus and beautiful rural setting. The rooms were charming and quiet. The hosts were friendly. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The whole place felt like a step into to Austrian culture.

Spent 2 nights here. The room was so nice. Decorated in plaid duvets. The entire place was spotless. We had a nice breakfast. The owners were wonderful. Only a 10 minute drive into Salzburg. The B & B had good wifi & easy parking. You can also take the bus into Salzburg if you like. It is very peaceful here...

My daughter and I stayed three nights at this bed and breakfast. The room was light and airy with views of the mountains and cows, free wi-fi is availabe. Everything is kept spotless and breakfast was wonderful, cold meats/cheeses, yogurt and muesli, eggs. Salzburg center is a simple 10 minute bus ride with the stop right outside the B&B. We...

I cannot emphasise enough how much we enjoyed our two nights at this pension. Located in a mostly residential area on the main road into Salzburg (the road is quiet at night) right on the boundary of the property is the frequent bus service into Saltzburg which take around ten minutes. Plenty of free parking at the hotel too. A...

The pension's location is quiet with beautiful fields in the back from where you can get lovely views of the castle and the mountains. It's a great place for a family. Our room was large and very comfortable. As a bonus, we had our own private balcony. Our hosts were charming and did everything to make our stay perfect. The...

: My husband and I spent three nights in Haus Ballwein. It was a thoroughly pleasant experience. The guest house and our room/bathroom were immaculately clean and very cheerful. The breakfast was hearty and offered a wide range of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, fruits, and beverages. Frau Ballwein dressed in traditional garb when she served breakfast-which was nice- and was...
