Very polite staff. Excellent restaurant and also good breakfast buffet. Location is very central. Rooms are very nicely furnished. Good value for money. When I go back to Innsbruck I will stay in this hotel again. One of the best hotel I have ever been.

If you are looking for a romantic hotel right in the city of Innsbruck, this is it. I have stayed there already several times during my stay in Innsbruck and I will always come back. It is just 5 min of walking to the city and the Goldenes Dachl. The rooms are quiet and with traditional Tyrolean furniture. Breakfast is...

1) Potential FIRE HAZARD in the SPA!! - Sauna was so hot inside that the thermostat controls melted (no way to adjust heat) & the indicators were all well into the red hot zone. Steam shower & decorations in the area were nice but Jacuzzi Tub fills w/ luke warm water via a coin and makes a lot of noise...

We chose to stay here during our honeymoon at the end of December 2012 and were lucky to get the Kaiser Maximillian Suite with a wood-burning fireplace. While we loved the room and the breakfast (by far the best we had during our two-week stay in Europe across 4 countries), the service and staff were horrible - worsened only by...

My wife and I have become experts on hotels in Innsbruck, given we visit annually. We recently completed a 4 night stay at the Schwarzer Adler, in a second floor suite. In previous years we have stayed at the Penz and the Europa, neither which were great, and we were looking for another try. For whatever reason, no hotel in...

We are not discerning travellers but this hotel is not up to the standard of similar styled and rated hotels. The customer service and attitude of the staff is poor (reception and maid). Do no expect to be warmly welcomed and assisted with your luggage. Our room was average, was only made up for a single person when we arrived...

We stayed in Sept 2012 and really enjoyed the hotel. It is quaint and has a lot of charm with lots of antiques. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms and bathroom were large with a wonderful view of the alps, especially from the rooftop. It is very convenient and an easy walk to the main pedestrian area....

The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the train station (you might need to visit the Tourist Information desk for directions on how to get there) and my wife was just starting to grumble about dragging her luggage when we got there. However, it is only five minutes walk to the main restaurant and shopping areas. From the...
