This is simply one of the nicest, homiest Inns I have ever stayed in. Herr Ultsch and family maintain a typical Tyrolean neatness and an even more spotless family run ambiance. Since I speak fluent German, I like to chat with the family and employees, they do not try the crudity of answering questions or statements in English. If you...

Very cute homely and warm hotel. The staff are willing to help with your itinerary give you places to visit & help you get onto the slopes. The cuisine is excellent, tasty & heartwarming, The young ladies Helen and Alexandra will help you understand the menu if needed. They even prepared the Austrian desert, ganknoddle, as we wanted to try....

Stayed here by chance on a visit from Italy with family. Unimpressed at first but my respect grew by leaps and bounds over the 3 days we were there. This is not a 'modern' hotel/motel but rather a very old inn nicely updated to modern accomodations, oozing alpine charm and trying very hard to please - and succeeding. Visually interesting...

We stayed here for a week on a skiing holiday. On arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly we were given rooms next door to each other with a spectacular mountain view. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you always made an effort to stop and speak. The free ski bus was a short walk...

We didn't stay at the hotel but were recommeded and booked for dinner when we arrived at our hotel on the 24th in Igls. It was a gala dinner with 6 courses and a welcome drink. There was live music and the hotel manager gave a lovely speech and lead us in the singing of Silent Night. Which I have...

The Hotel is beautiful in a typical Tyrol style. The room was very big, with a normal bathroom and a good balcony. The breakfast is good with a continental food. Only the car park is a bit small. The position is far from the center but you can move the car or you can take the bus at the bus...

This was the most pleasant and hospitable vacation that we have ever taken. Not only was the town charming, but the hotel staff were the most service minded and polite we have EVER encountered. We were luck, I think, to have been during the off-season. The town was quiet and incredibly beautiful. The view from our room ( a junior...

I reviewed them as excellent because of the way the receptionist was kind and answered all my questions. I really appreciate kindness and good-heartedness when staff deal with customers. And the manager was understanding. It's the personalities that make the hotel.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In December 2015 Family Ultsch reopened the Hotel Eagles Inn. With passion and creativity we try to bring back the special charm of this beautiful historic house! Step by step we are making the hotel a place of well being for you! After a little break in early spring we start again in April 23 with freshness and vitality (with many specials and offers for the summer season! The Eagles Inn and the village of Igls is a beautiful place to spend your holiday: the beauty of nature, charming locals and the city of Innsbruck are waiting for you! The sun plateau on which the village of Igls is located is surrounded by magnificent and tranquil mountains, only 5 km far from the town center of Innsbruck. The Eagles Inn allows you to enjoy unequalled views of the mountain chain Nordkette which makes the area of Innsbruck so special. The Hotel Eagles Inn lies at the foot of the mountain Patscherkofel which is known for its skiing and hiking area. The tasteful design, a friendly and bright restaurant (opening spring 16) and the charming ambience of the artfully designed, wood-paneled "Stuben" (Tipical tyrolean living/dining room) make up the special charm of this Hotel. With the public transportation you can reach the city center as well as the Nordkette within a few minutes. Enjoy the nature without missing the proximity of the city! ... more   less
