Cozy small hotel, tram stop is nearby - 15 minutes to the centre. Hello from mid 80's. There no sockets in the room to charge smartphone, laptop or anything else. We managed to find one socket near the door, but that was difficult to charge 2 smartphones and 1 photocamera. Also there is no hot breakfast, and breakfest itself very poor...

A quite hotel located in 10 minutes walk distance from Grunzing restaurants offers great accomodation in spacious rooms and tasty breakfast. It is easy to park a car in the street, WiFi works well, the personel is keen to assist you to solve any problem. Just perfect! Going by tram to the centre is easier than parking a car in...

We wanted to stay away from the city center and this was a good choice. Quiet neighbourhood, you don´t feel like you´re in a big city. No problem getting downtown or anywhere else: the street car stops right in front of the hotel (public transportation in Vienna is great). Taking it in the opposite direction will take you to Grinzing,...

We've been visiting this hotel for 8 years now, about 4 times a year. The manager speaks 4 languages fluently and just eager to please. The rooms are pretty spacy and always so clean. For us its just home away from home, and we wont replace it.

Room was clean, tram trip into old city took 20 mins. Entire hotel smells of cigarette smoke including bath towels. When we booked our non-smoking room we where not made aware of the major contruction site adjacent to hotel where work began at 6.30 am each morning. The room did not have suffiencient insultation to bloke out the work site....

We wanted to stay on the outskirts of Vienna to experience “heurigen” or restaurants that serve new wine. This small hotel is a 5-10 minute walk down a large street – perfect since you really don’t want to be in the middle of the restaurants. Our room was on the street side, but the hotel is set back and the...

Staying in Dobling

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
