I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and located close to public transportation. The hotel is easily accessible by public transport from the airport and/or all train stations. I was able to stay within my budget and explore Vienna with ease for my 2-day stay. The tram is located a few blocks away for quick access into the...

Hotel Senator is located near the tram going to Stephenplatz. Very convenient. Not centrally located but transportation is close by so their is no problem at all. They do not have any water kettle in the room but you can ask for hot water in the front desk. Very helphul front desk people. All in all we were happy with...

Me and my girlfriend traveled to Viena and arrived at this hotel, which was a really nice place to stay for a couple of nights. There is a Lidl store right next to the hotel. The room was clean and warm, given that we traveled in winter (december 2015). We recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to travel to...

This hotel was pleasant enough if your just passing through or on business. However for us it was too far from Vienna and the central train station. Although we utilised the trams to come and go to central station, it wasn't easy as the names on the stops were different and going to the hotel, you need to get off...

I stayed in this hotel in April 2016, at good price, the room was modern, clean and comfortable. Rooms decorated colorful and the stuff in room are useful and modern. Room was clean and appropriately appointed. Quiet inside and staff was helpful if asked. Quite far from the Vienna Central Station, so if you have plans to leave Vienna (like we ended up doing) using that station can get expensive. It's close to Westbahnhoff station. Nice little Italian restaurant and located near property.

It's a really good hotel. Very nice look and comfy bed. There is one minus there is no bar in the room and you need to go downstairs to get what you want. New hotel, you can find free parking near it. Supermarket next to this building. We love our time in Vienna

We stayed here for 5 days during the ECR2016 radiology conference. The location is decent, trasit routes towards points of interest usually involve more the one switch. The room was dirty and smelled of cheap cleaning products, the bathroom smelled of drainage (we had to keep the ventilation allways on); there was dirt in the shower corners. The pillows were...

Had a very pleasant stay here. The staff were always welcoming and the man who did reception also serviced the bar. He liked to have a joke and it was more personalised. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The location is not central but it is only a 30 min walk to get into town or the tram is on...

Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
Ottakring
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
