I stayed there for one night. Found it clean, cosy, the staff was very very very helpful , near to the old city and cheap " paid only 30 euro ". totally recommended for anyone looking for something near to the city center
I've stayed there only for a night in my way back to home, I can say that when I arrived there I was a little bit disappointed due to the smell from the lobby, but when we've booked there, the room was quite nice, with...More
Hotel Carina is a very decent place to stay if you don't want to spend too much, you are not too fussy about so-so breakfast, hard-to-catch wifi signal and the chance that you room won't get cleaned every day (or, somewhat bizarrely, only parts of...More
I booked this place for the Vienna City Marathon. It's not located too far from the city centre, but still a 15 minute tram ride from the old city. For what you pay the room is alright, but there is no breakfast included. The staff...More
Our hotel room was in the basement area, leveled with what looked like the courtyard. We could easily walk into it from the window. Our room was very small, with only one window. I could hardly move around in the bathroom.

The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high
street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
