There's a reason world leaders, celebrities, sports stars and even Queen Elizabeth II chose the Hotel Imperial when visiting Vienna. Service is absolutely top notch! Everyone we encountered went over and above to be sure we felt well looked after, from the front desk staff (manager Sebastian gave me a wonderful tour of the historic property- celebrating 150 years!), to Mr. Rebac, the doorman who gave me his umbrella on a very rainy day when the guest supply had been depleted, to Daniella and Aisha who kept our room spotless and well supplied. We checked in on my birthday and a cake and sparkling wine were waiting for us in our upgraded SIsi suite- a wonderful surprise! Breakfast was an abundant affair with everything from made-to-order hot items to fruits, yogurts, ham, cheese, pastries and delicious breads. Our server had our coffee order memorized after just one morning. The location is ideal for exploring the beautiful city of Vienna and the concierge staff had plenty of helpful suggestions and recommendations (before and during our stay) as well as practical advice for transit, etc. The only thing I'd change about my stay would be to make it longer! Five nights wasn't enough. I can't wait to return to the Hotel Imperial!

This was my second time at the Imperial, it is an absolutely gorgeous property. It was a palace once upon a time and you feel like you are living in one during your stay. The rooms are beyond comfortable with "imperial" decor you will feel like royalty. Most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in! The staff goes above and beyond. Special mention to AJ (Attila) who made our stay so welcoming and was on top of everything making us feel very special.

My husband had planned numerous events for my 70th birthday this year - not least a trip to Vienna to see Andrea Bocelli! On the advice of our excellent ten Group (well done Lucy) we chose to stay the the Imperial Hotel. WOW - the hotel is beautiful, clean, stunning, food great, room brilliant, everything thought about for the guests comfort, breakfast very good. BUT...... the service from the staff can only be described as phenomenal!!! Yes - they are totally professional. Yes - they fall over backwards to ensure that you have the best service. Yes - they all respond very quickly. YES YES YES they are the best. The two lads (I can call them that at my age) in the 'cafe'- (their ages being C50's) were brilliant. So attentive but both of them had a 'wicked' sense of humour always at the right moment!! Front of house, concierge, housekeeping, restaurant and all of the other lovely and very courteous staff team are to be commended. You have all made an 'old' lady (I don't think I look my age) VERY happy. And if i'm happy them so is my husband!! Greta place. Lovely city. BE AFRAID - we will return!!! Thank you to everyone.

Imperial hotel is what Vienna actually is...amazing architecture, very clean and very polite stuff willing to help anytime you want. Rooms were very big with big toilette. To me personally i loved that sound insulation was top level. In 4 days I felt like a king.

Superb. The best Marriott experience I have ever had. I’ve never stayed in a Ritz or St. Regis property, but I have stayed in luxury/autograph properties in Paris and London, and Hotel Imperial wins hands down for ambience and experience. The interior is gorgeous. Staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. It’s not right on the main road downtown, but the location is perfect. It’s a quick 5-10 minute walk to shops/sights. I don’t think there’s parking available, but that didn’t apply for me. I was blown away by the attentiveness, and the nightly Imperial Torte was so delicious I bought two boxes to bring home. Stay here. You won’t regret it.

If there was a six star review, this hotel would exceed this rating. An amazing hotel deep in the heart of beautiful Vienna, Austria which captures the very culture and past through its beautifully decorated rooms and fine dining. It's atmosphere, people, decorum and service will bring you back to 1863 when the hotel was known as the Palais Württemberg, home to Duke Philipp of Württemberg and his wife Maria Theresa. If you're looking to truly experience Vienna as it once was, this is your hotel.

My wife and I stayed for eight nights in a top floor maisonette suite, with exterior deck overlooking the City of Vienna. We loved the hotel, the breakfast is superb, as well as the restaurant and upper end dining option, amd the palatial interior design throughout. The bar is about the nicest we have ever seen, and it features live piano or jazz some nights. We enjoyed a hotel tour, when you fully realize you are staying in a palace, and can sample delicious, famous chocolates. The entire staff from Emil the young trainee, to the Concierge desk, front office team, and hotel upper management, made us feel welcome from start to finish, and were all so helpful and kind to us in every aspect including planning activities, booking side trips, etc. Vienna is a remarkably beautiful city, with more culture than any similar sized city globally, imho, rated the most livable city on the planet by The Economist magazine.. The Imperial Hotel is a gem, and we would be most pleased to return. Some activities that were remarkably amazing, to name a few, included attending the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Mozart Orchestra, visiting Schonbrunn, Belvedere Palace, Hofburg, Mozart House, an interesting Jewish museum, furniture museum, wandering around the several beautiful, large shopping districts. The architecture throughout the city alone is mind boggling beautiful. We also recommend Fabio's restaurant, one of the recommendations on the hotel's list that also was over the top nice.
