As a lifetime titanium Marriott Bonvoy member I have stayed at many outstanding properties around the world, Hotel Imperial, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Vienna stay was simply the best! I used Suite Night Award (SNA) to request an upgrade we were whisked away to a beautiful Elizabeth Suite that included a daily butler service and a free breakfast spread every morning. The staff truly goes above and beyond with every little detail. For example, we were celebrating our anniversary, and Anita, the front desk manager arranged for a beautiful dessert spread, champagne, and fresh roses to be placed in our room. The staff is also knowledgeable about COVID-related questions and concerns like where to get the test done, following extra safety protocols while COVID protests were going outside.

I'm a sucker for a property with a story, so naturally I opted for the Hotel Imperial on my first visit to Vienna late last year. It did not disappoint. Travel during the pandemic has at times been disappointing as service has been scaled back. Did not feel this was the case at Hotel Imperial at all. The hard product was beautiful, and the soft product on-point. The front desk gave a warm welcome and let us check into our room (which had been upgraded to a two-level suite) early. There was a flight miscommunication regarding the butler service, but the butler did attend the room and set out a lovely spread of fruit, pastries and the hotel's famous Imperial Torte, as well as temporary business cards and a luggage tag – a lovely touch that sets this property apart from anywhere else. I'll review the restaurant separately, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay which I hope to recreate again soon.

Stayed here during our visit to daughter between Christmas and New Year 2021. Stunningly beautiful facility, staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. Amazing upgrade benefit from my Platinum Elite status. Bar was super nice and breakfast was superb. We will definitely stay here again during our next stay in Vienna.

I was torn between two 5 star hotels in Vienna and so I decided to read reviews online to make a final decision. The reviews criticized the two five star hotels I was considering, but the same reviews kept praising the Imperial Hotel. I decided to opt for it and I am GLAD I did. Excellent hotel by all standards. Very civilized place with 1st class service in everything. They were thoughtful, fast and precise in their service provision. The hotel is beautiful and has a rich history , it was tidy, the food was excellent and everything was on point. All the staff were amazing and they did their best which was more than enough especially Rafael the Concierge who planned all our trips to perfection, Attila our responsive and thoughtful point man at the reception and Claudia, the manager who made always made difficult requests happen without stress. Thank you all so much. I recommended this hotel for being excellent in every sense.

This is my second visit to the Imperial. During both stays, room, amenities, and the food (oh! the food) was immaculate. But the service is above all else the most impressive. Everyone with whom I interacted from the bellboy to the frontdesk, and especially the Concierges treated me like royalty. Everyone was so welcoming, so accommodating, and so understanding. The Hotel Imperial Wien actually makes me want to the hotel time and time again, but they even make me want to visit Vienna just to experience the hotel. I ate at both the restaurant and enjoyed time at the lounge. I mentioned the food earlier - from breakfast to room service, the food at the Imperial was superb. Try the Tafelspitz and the Kaiserschmarrn, you won't be disappointed. While this review may sound over-the-top, I cannot say enough about the Imperial. It now ranks among the pantheon of hotels in which I have stayed, and I have stayed over 1,500 nights in hotels (sad as that may sound!) In terms of value, one must remember that this is a 5-star hotel in the Luxury Collection - so value is relative. I found the Imperial to be of good value for all the reasons I listed above. I had grown up thinking that the Sacher Torte was the epitome of Tortes, but after tasting the Imperial Torte, I realized how wrong I was! I actually like the Imperial Torte much, much more, and the torte even has its own website.
