We really enjoyed our stay at Pension Suzanne and would recommend it to anyone. The location is fantastic - a block from the opera and you can walk to most places you'd visit in the city. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread, if you chose it, is delightful, with an...

I had a very nice stay at the Pension Suzanne in Vienna. The location is very convenient - just steps from the Opera House and the trams and U-bahn. It is a nice family run hotel without any of the corporate feel of larger hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One suggestion I would make is that the...

Selected this "hotel" based on a Rick Steves recommendation and other TA reviews. The location was ideal, next to the opera, close to the Ringstrasse, the Albertina, Karlsplatz, and major residential shopping streets in the historic city center. Room rates were reasonable, given we were visiting during the Christmas season. Staff was pleasant and helpful. However, it's not your typical...

Our family of three (including 19 year old daughter) just returned from several days in Vienna at the Pension Suzanne. Our first impression of the Suzanne's entry had us concerned. The ground floor entry looks like something from a cold war era apartment building. We actually thought we were in the wrong place until we saw the sign directing us...

A few years ago my wife, two adult sons and I took the train Christmas eve through a beautiful snowscape from Munich to Vienna. We found a small plate of Christmas cookies awaiting us in our large comfortable room overlooking the square hung with chandelier-like Christmas ornaments. Easy walking from train station and convenient to sights. Our hosts could not...

Excellent position near opera house tram routes and hub of Xmas markets, which were the point of visit with daughter. Basic but rather charming rooms. No kettle tea making or bottled water but shops are nearby. Breakfast supplies run out a bit at end of set time- no croissants, little bread or cheese but coffee orange juice and sweet things...

Two nights in Vienna in Pension Suzanne was a terrific choice! Great location, great staff (very helpful family) and delicious breakfast! The room I stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. The only flaw I would say is that there was no floor heating in the bathroom (but maybe it just wasn't turned on?). Nevertheless, it was not a problem...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
