I have stayed at Hotel Das Trieste three times now. The first two occasions were on business, this time I was on holiday with my girlfriend. Based on my first to visits coming here again was a "no brainer" and delighted to say I was...More
Goog location and efficient service. Breakfast with good variety, served at a very welcoming garden in Summer. Rooms are clean and the suite I staied at with my wife was extremely spacious. Strongly recommend.
NOT 4 STARS: I have very mixed feelings about this hotel and would likely not stay here next time as there are many options in Vienna. The decor and layout of the rooms are fine - but have a very 1990's vibe. Minimalist designed furniture...More
Stayed here for three nights in the middle of June. Booked via BA (flight + hotel). I booked a 'superior' room which was well appointed and looked out onto the gardens/courtyard. No noise at all as we were on the opposite side from the road...More
My wife and I stayed at Das Triest for three nights in June prior to cycling from Vienna to Budapest.. Das Triest has everything we have come to expect in good hotels. The front desk was particularly helpful in assisting me in figuring out how...More

The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighbourhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and
bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.

We were there in August, and the construction noise and vibration was awful. Being that we were out most of the day, it was really the shock of being woken up in the morning and while getting ready. We enjoyed the evenings as much as the days, so we were not awake very early. I would say that if you are out of your room before 8:00 am, you probably will not even notice the noise. I do not remember our room number, but we were on the top floor directly next to where they were doing the addition. If you can stay away from that side, you should be good. They also should be finished with the major structural construction by December though.
In the end, the noise did not ruin our trip, just our ability to be a little lazy in the morning. Have a great trip!
