Good location within walking distance of the Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstrasse shopping. There is a rear entrance that is a little easier to get to from the nearby shops. Check-in was quick and easy, the hotel is large and there were a number of functions on that weekend but the staff were helpful and friendly even though they were in a... More

This was not my first stay at this hotel. Since this is very close to all the places I have to visit during my stay in Vienna (in the neighbourhood of Westbahnhof train station) I stay either here of at Mercure Westbahnhof, even if I do not come by train. This area is a very good starting point to reach... More

Nice and supportive people at the reception and good service at all. Celan room and plenty of space. Hughe bed and unforgetable view from the 11 floor on Vienna panorama. I have really enjoyed the stay.

Nice hotel with clean rooms and delicious breakfast. I would certainly recommend it for a short trip to Vienna which is really classy and eclectic. The hotel is close to the metro station which makes it easy to wander in the city.

This is my staple hotel in Vienna. It does not get any better for the price. Excellent large room, very functional, super comfortable bed and great and flexible service throughout. Offer of "small breakfast" if you are out of regular breakfast time is simply excellent. Perfect central location as well.

Stayed here for three nights and overall we enjoyed our stay. It is, to be fair, a cheaper hotel but all we wanted was a hotel offering clean, quiet and good location facilities. The staff were very pleasant. Only critique was with the bar - it was very smoky. The breakfast was very good. My wife would have liked it... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
