We had our first meal in the Restaurant Rote Bar, fabulous meal, great atmosphere! the famous Sacher torte is a must. My wife and I spend a lovely weekend vacation in this hotel before we decided to move to Vienna last September. The staff was very friendly, our suite room absolutely spotless and nicely furnished. The staff made every request we has almost immediately happen. We had such a good time!

i love this hotel. This wasn't my first visit and I can't wait for the next. The reassuring staff and their friendliness are to me an extension of the wonderful family who own the hotel. You'll never have a better breakfast (with Sacher Torte if you wish!). I recommend the Sacher to all!

Most of the great classic hotels around the world are now run by chains, but the Sacher has been in the same family for over 50 years. Everything is top of the mark: the rooms, the location, the housekeeping, the front desk, the bar, the lounge and (of course) the Cafe Sacher. The buffet breakfast is more than sufficient, and... Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
