From the old world classic interiors, buzzing restaurants and attentive staff to the brilliant location right across from Vienna's State Opera, Hotel Sacher is one of those luxurious properties that will not disappoint. I can't say enough about how enjoyable my recent stay was at the Sacher Wien (June 13, 2015). After a wonderful week of exploring both Prague and Budapest my wife and I spent our last evening in Vienna...and I am so glad that we chose this hotel. The ambience, location, room and service was everything that we could ever ask...

This was one of the very finest hotels that I stayed in - and not just because of it amazingly convenient location, exquisite rooms and decorum but the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The front desk hostess - ms Stephanie was amazing courteous and absolutely delightful in welcoming me and my family - this was our introduction to Viennese...

We have stayed at the Sacher Hotel many times, and have always felt the stay was worth the money spent. This time was quite different. The staff was less interested in the quality of our stay. Vienna was hot and air conditioning was not working properly. We expressed our concern on three consecutive mornings. Nobody followed up with us about...

This is a splendid property in every respect: sumptuously decorated in fine Rococo style, excellent restaurants, an amazing buffet breakfast and splendid staff. We had huge rooms on the top floor, massive amounts of hanging space, and a huge bathroom. The blinds are electrically operated. The bathroom had a huge bath, separate show stall and loo (both with frosted doors)...

We stayed four days at a suite at the elegant the Sacher. It is within easy walking distance from most of the tourist attractions in Vienna, a privileged location. Pluses: +Competent staff. An honour mention to the knowledgeable and well-connected concierge, who managed to miraculously fix a screw-up by our car rental company (the vehicle that we had booked was...

We stayed for 2 nights at the sacher hotel and didn't want to leave! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were luxurious and comfy, and the restaurants had delicious food. The location was perfect, right across from the opera house and near plenty of great restaurants.

This is my favorite hotel whenever I travel to Vienna. Standard as you can expect from a top 5 stars hotel - attention of staff, perfect service, delicious breakfast. Excellent location, close to the opera. I look forward to staying there again.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
