Our stay was spoiled by the very hot rooms & the dreadfully poor wi-fi. We complained about the heat & were told that the system had to either be on heat or air con throughout the whole hotel since its such an old system. In Feb it's on heating mode so the only thing you can do is switch it...

The hotel was conveniently located, which was the main reason we booked here. The rooms were clean and the bed was ok. The service was friendly. The downside was that you could hear all the noise coming from outside to the room so sleep quality was bad

No issues at this hotel at all. Overpriced bar but as expected from the Mercure chain. Staff accommodated late check outs etc very well. The location is very good. We came from the Christmas markets and a good location added to the trip.

Very well located hotel, in the city center close to metro and tram. The hotel needs renovation, as the room are old and have to be renewed. The Wi-Fi connection was very bad, difficult to surf on sites with a lot of interruptions. Breakfast was very expensive and there wasn't much food variety. I would recommend the hotel for the...

Good value for money. Excellent location with some rooms facing a very quiet street. Parking garage (expensive). Good breakfast (expensive). Stylish rooms. In the vicinity of the Staatsoper (there is a wall full of pictures of famous singers guests of this hotel).

Stayed at this hotel for three nights at the beginning of December to visit the Christmas markets/art galleries. We travelled from the airport using the airport bus which you get right outside the airport terminal and we got off at Schwedenplatz which is about 5 or 6 mins walk to the hotel. The hotel has a small reception area and...

The hotel is very conveniently located - near a metro station, tram station and shopping centre. The rooms themselves are tidy but quite small. The breakfast was quite disappointing compared to other places we have stayed this trip but it's better than nothing. The WiFi was also quite slow. In terms of location though it can't be beaten.

Stayed there for two days. The room size was ok. Staff was very friendly and always provided a good service. The breakfast doesnt give you much choice. The hotel is in the first district, so many sights are quite near and clubbing durng the nights is must.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
