This is very centrally located hotel about 5 minutes from Stephansdom rendering much of what the average tourist would want to see. the reception satff are all fluent in English and are extremely helpful. The rooms are a decent size, clean and the beds comfortable. The selection of foodstuffs at breakfast is pretty extensive. For the location and service I... More

Close to Ring road and St. Stephans. Lots of eating & shopping options. The hotel room was quite small but the front desk staff (females) during the evening shift were very friendly and helpful. I asked for some coffee and creamer to be made available. One of them got it up to the room almost immeadiately. They had the convenience... More

This hotel is within walking distance of most of the tourist sites in Vienna. It is about two blocks off a busy street, so it is mostly quiet. There is a bar just down the block, so some nights the bar crowd was a little noisy. The room was comfortable and clean. There was enough room for two people. There... More

Perfectly located to St. Stephen's, tram stop, and metro. We took the metro to the Schonbrunn. The hotel is clean, bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern. Good value and location. Good value as Vienna is an expensive city.

We stayed at this excellent hotel for four days in October. The room was spacy and nicely decorated. The bed was excellent, the room impressively quiet for a central hotel. Any small problems we had were efficiently dealt with by the friendly staff. We didn't use the restaurant since there were a vast number of eateries and restaurants within minutes... More

The hotel is conveniently located to Svedenplatz, a major public transportation hub. We took the U-bahn from the West bahnhof to the hotel using a three day travel card, well worth the money. Be sure to get it stamped at one of the machines in the U-bahn station before boarding the train or you may be fined. It works on... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the classic building. The rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds and I liked the shower (we experienced many tiny showers in Europe but this one was roomy). The only complaint would be that I could hear the person upstairs using the toilet! Otherwise the hotel is located on a quiet street... More

We stayed at the Mercure Wien Zentrum in Vienna for four nights in September. My husband and I were travelling with four friends. The location, was ideal ... about a five-minute walk to Stephansdom (St. Stephen's Cathedral). Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
