Located out of vienna, surrounded by forest up in the hill which provide a spectacular view over Vienna, specially at night. It is a beautiful old building, with an "interesting" history. We had been twice at this hotel, the first time we got the 2 level room with the bedroom upstairs which we do not like so much. The second...

1.000.000 euro view, goo service, good breakfast, excellent big rooms...overall good rate. Even if it's 20 minutes far from the city centre it was the best choice for us. Travelled with family. I can just say that next time same place. Thank you. Greetings from Romania.

This hotel is a piece of art. I came here for a conference and I must say I was impressed with the architecture and the view. The food was also really good. The only downside is the location that is a bit far away from the center. However, it is an excellent place to get away from the city life.

Possibly the worse 4 star hotel in Europe, where the reception is unprofessional, yet kind. The rooms dirty, a bathroom which its size is as large a night train, very poorly decorated no amenities of any kind. Mold in the shower, no soap, but of course the shampoo and soap under one dispense like in a 2 star hotel....a complete...

Where to start? Large rooms with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, friendly staff and great views. Getting to the city center is a snap. walking distance or short bus ride to 3 local wineries with great food and wine. The hotel restaurant terrace has an outstanding view of the city as the hotel is on the top of a hill. The...

This hotel is outside Vienna city but the city is within easy reach. Its located in the north-west of Vienna, in the 16th district. The nearest metro station is Ottakring which can be reached by buses 46A or 46B which run every 15 minutes. The bus stop is just outside the hotel main gate and there are 2 stops -...

Nice hotel for the look on the outside. Good rooms, good services, bar available, meals and great breakfast. A bit away from the city if you don't mind driving into the hills for the view. Not many services nearby.

My wife and I had a coupon from a birthday to my surprise brunch was served 11:30-15:00 o‘clock. Arriving there, there was a counter and a checking point neither where manned. So after waiting awhile we laundered in to see where we can get our brunch. First impression was rather good nice architecture and a big variety of things to...

Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
