We were staying beside this hotel but had breakfast there most mornings and the occasional drink in the evenings. Most welcoming and helpful with a traditional continental breakfast. Close to 49 tram and U6 and centre. Wuld consider staying there in the future.

This hotel is perfectly situated near both the metro and streetcar. Further plus is its proximity to Neubau shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and accommodating -- even feeding us in the restaurant (we had called ahead) after a bit of a late arrival (22:00). Our room was quite large with 70s perdiod furniture that took us back....

About 10 minutes from the metro station, we found this hotel. It is a vintage hotel, with a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is fine. The staff is friendly. We ate one night in, this was very nice, there is a Philippine kitchen!! (make sure you make a reservation, as they also have people eating in from outside the hotel). The room...

Comfortable room, clean and warm. Animated internal court with drinks and food. Many young people. Nice and helpful staff. Only few parking places, reservation it's a must. Nice breakfast. Very good location, near metro and Mariahilfer Strasse shopping area. The Museums Quarter is at a walking distance.

This place is such a wonderful hidden gem in the middle of the town. I found it on Hoteltonight app for a short layover and couldn't be happier with the experience for the price I paid. It is about 7 minutes walk to the Underground (metro) that then connects you to a number of other stations, including the main terminal...

Loved staying in this quirky hotel! A tiny bit away from the center of town but easy to get to using public transportation. The single rooms are economical and perfect for solo travelers. The restaurant and bar are super.

The hotel is well located. A lot of restaurants and bars in the neighborhood (less touristic and more authentic than others). The room was nice and the wifi excellent. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. A chair would have been better than a stool in the room.

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Brillantengrund for two nights in early October 2016. The weather was not on our side and it rained non-stop throughout our trip. The courtyard has real appeal and looked very charming but we couldn't enjoy it due to the rains. The location was good and it was a 15-20 min walk to...

Recommend by a local, he's never stayed here but has heard it's good. It was great. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and fantastic breakfasts. It is in walking distance of the museum quarter, which was great for us. The receptionist is the best diamond, she is lovely. We are already planning our return visit

The courtyard is a sweet spot in the summer, nice bar and breakfast. There's also a nice bar on the main street by the entrance. The rooms are small and clean, no nonsense. It's simply a great funky hotel, affordable aand super great location! Highly recommended and I would return here gladly.

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
