Spacious, comfortable. My only complaint, and this regards all Hilton Hotels, is that you have to pay for Wi-Fi. The vast majority of hotels these days has free wi-fi. The strikes me as a very cheap move. I am a Hilton Honors member, but I...More
Best of both worlds! Right on the river, peaceful and quiet and perfect for a riverside stroll but yet easy access into the main attractions for sightseeing. A 5 minute stroll takes you to the nearest metro stop 'stadium' and a further 5-10 minutes and...More

Good business hotel with nice bar, executive lounge and location. Rooms are spacious and clean - basically Hilton standard. Definitely not the Hotel Sacher; however, different price range as well so in case of Hotel Sacher blacklisted not a bad choice.
We stayed for 1 night to watch a game, the hotel is 5 minutes away from the Ernst Happel Stadium and 3 minutes away from the subway station.
I would really recommend staying here, it's a great hotel and has a beautiful view of the...More

Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and
ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.

I wasn't provided with slippers and a robe. The WiFi was free and available in all the public areas and in my room. The signal strength was good. You do need to register for WiFi in your room and there are data limits. I can't remember the limits. I didn't go shopping nearby, but tour mates found a shopping center in the adjoining neighborhood. It was probably 10-15 minutes walk away from the Danube.

It is a lovely Hilton if you want to relax and enjoy Vienna without a rush. The executive area is comfortable but not very private as it can be quite crowded in the evenings. Breakfast and evening snacks are tasty and adequate. The pool is nice, but I doubt it would be warm enough in late october. There is a shopping mall nearby and the restaurant outside on the banks of the river is lovely. Nevertheless, it is in a quiet area a bit far from the city and a 10 minute walk to the subway or bus.
