We spent one night recently at this beautiful classic hotel. We were simply delighted! From the moment we walked into reception, and were greeted so warmly by Lutta, we felt at home, valued and secure. The check in process was handled with professional courtesy and care. We were not flying out until 10pm the next day and we were told...

Our family had 3 rooms for 2 nights in November this year for a delightful old city experience at this hotel. It is near the Opera, great restaurants, the Kunhs museum (Vermeer) and on a pedestrian street. It is a pristine older style in a 400 year old building but it is filled with creature comforts. Our rooms had double...

Located in the heart of the action, it is very convenient to get to many area destinations such as the Vienna Opera, Concert venues and shopping. In walking distance of much of the attractions, it is a short cab fare (15 mins) to the train station and about 45 mins from the Airport. The staff is all friendly, helpful and...

When we checked into the Romeizer Kaiser in Vienna Annagasse road, I was a little apprehensive as I wasn't sure if this would be as awesome as I thought it would, however it over achieved my expectations. The hotel is situated in the heart of the most happening part of Vienna. Walking distance from the cathedral, Mozart museum, Muzik Vernen...

Location in Vienna center in a quiet pedestrian area. Rooms are well equipped - we had a bathtub and a roomy bathroom. The hotel room was standard size. Free coffee and fresh water in the lobby, together with a nice seating area. Wifi well-functioning everywhere. The staff was helpful and attentive. Breakfast was luxury, really. For free you can order...

We stayed here only one night, but were pleasantly surprised by friendliness of staff, comfort of the room and proximity to Center and a few nice restaurants. The breakfast next morning was included in the price and we enjouyed the variety of meat cuts, cheeses and breads. The only confusing thing was finding the hotel and finding a parking garage....

We spend 2 nights in Vienna and after some time of research we found this place... The hotel is in the inner city of Vienna, perfectly located to visit most of the attractions and do some shopping. But anyway, calm street and hotel are very calm and seem as they haven't been changed over the last century. The hotel staff...

We were spending a weekend in Vienna and after having search for hotels for a long time, we finally decided on Schlosshotel Römischer Kaiser. If you are looking for an old style, almost imperial style, then you have come to the right place. The hotel is located just off the main shopping street, but in a quiet place on Annagasse....

Take out the electronics, and the wood paneled room could be in a museum. Location on a quiet street very close to old town center. Great breakfast, great service. Three good restaurants on the block. We stayed in another '4-star' hotel that was a dump compared to this.

Free water, cake, fruit and ice cream in the lobby! Guide and art books in the lounge area. Good breakfast, including freshly made omelette, either ham or cheese and tomato; or fried egg and bacon or scrambled egg, which was scrambled, a rarity in Austria - we found it was generally like a pancake elsewhere. I was able to have...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
