I chose this hotel because it seemed to be an ideal location near everything we wanted to see in Vienna. Not only was the location perfect, it fit in perfectly with the surroundings. Hotel Beethoven is beautifully decorated and they have musical presentations weekly. This hotel is a short walk from the Opera House, many museums and the Nascht market....

Fantastic hotel, ideal if you're looking for a quirky base to explore Vienna; a 5 min walk from Karlplatz station. We had a lovely room on the 5th floor which was spotless and cleaned daily during our 3 night visit. Breakfast was a buffet style with lots of choice and good coffee......which is always a positive. All staff we encountered,...

A great little hotel, warm and welcoming. Really nice room, great breakfast and all at a reasonable price. Ideally located for exploring Vienna, a great place for a weekend getaway. The only thing I didn't like was leaving!

The bathrooms are either dirty or moldy, very small and outdated. The breakfast selection is mediocre. The beds are decent, but not nice at all. I stayed at much better hotels for the same price in Vienna. I cannot recommend this hotel at all, especially not for the price, and I got a 30% off deal.

Dear guest, Unfortunately I could not figure out which room you stayed. We do have newly renovated boutique rooms on the 5th and 6th floor and we now close down for 6 month to refurbish all our other guest rooms. We will reopen in May 2017 and have all 47 rooms newly renovated with new bathrooms. I am sorry that...

The Beethoven is nicely located across from the Nacht Markt - lots of places to eat and a flea market on Saturdays. Staff here are top notch. Nice spacious room on the 5th floor complete with bird feather lamp shades! The breakfast area is very nice and cascades into a sitting area that is bright and cheery. All you need...

We stayed here three nights on our way back to Prague after visiting Slovenia and Croatia. We splurged on this hotel at the end of our trip and were glad we did. Very convenient location to the museums etc. Our room had a fantastic "Time Machine Shower" in the large bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. The best part...

The Hotel could not have been more accommodating for a late check in. The room was comfortable, clean and quirky! An interesting "mini-bar (sket)" added to the quirkiness. Breakfast was no-fuss, great choice, buffet with the best coffee in Vienna (imo). Location was ideal for my business trip, 1½ miles from the train station, an easy walk through the city....

I highly recommend this hotel. First, It is centrally located, you can walk to the subway or city center within minutes. Second, best staff. Everyone is super friendly (to everyone) and ready to help. I remember Venura and Donnatella, among others, great service. Nothing beats friendly hotel staff when you are traveling in a foreign country. Third, the room we...

The hotel's location is not far from tourist attractions. It is located in a quiet and safe street close to the naschmarkt (fish market) where you can enjoy good sea food. The rooms have high ceiling which makes you to feel that you are in a bigger room. I really like it. The bed is not very comfortable and relatively...

We did a 11 day trip through eastern Europe and this hotel was our favorite by far. Sweet, simple, and luxurious, Hotel Beethoven provided all those little details that make your stay feel like a home away from home - robes, slippers, complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks, beautiful classical music playing throughout the day. Fabulous location, amazing breakfast, gorgeous and...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.

Hotel Beethoven – Lovers of Vienna welcome The 4-star Hotel Beethoven lies ensconced in culture and cuisine on the “bohemian“ Naschmarkt, opposite the Papagenotor at Theater an der Wien, just a few minutes’ walk from the Opera, the Musikverein, the Museumsquartier, the most traditional Viennese coffeehouses and shopping streets. 4-star hotel situated on Vienna’s NaschmarktThe location of the 4-star Hotel Garni on the Naschmarkt lets lovers of Vienna dive right into the typical Viennese lifestyle. The market, with its dozens of little stalls and selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and specialities, is a colourful and lively snapshot of Vienna, which is even more varied on Saturdays, with the farmer’s and flea market. In addition to the restaurants and cafés around the Naschmarkt, a trendy restaurant and bar scene has developed in the market area. Coupled to cultureThe culturally committed Ludwig family, which owns the hotel, sponsors numerous Viennese cultural institutions, such as the Albertina, the Mumok and the Musikverein and inspires lovers of Vienna to special cultural delights: invitations to previews, exhibition openings, museum visits and preferential ticket orders at the Musikverein. ... more   less
