My husband and I stayed at Hotel Kunsthof from 11-15 September 2016. The first impression of the room wasn't great (I think we were in one of the rooms that hasn't been renovated yet) but the room was spacious and clean. The only setback with the room was the bathroom as the water water temperature wasn't steady and looked a...

Floor wasn't clean, caterpillar found in bed. No phone, no bottled water, no tea or coffee making facilities, lack of sockets. Very loud nearby building works. Wonky stairs. The whole hotel had no iron (for clothes). It was a convenient location for accessing the Praterstern public transport but that was all.

We were positively surprised. Hotel has a fair price and it gives you everything needed- it is perfectly clean, beds are very confortable and it is quiet. Location is good, 20 min walk from the city centre, and it is possible to park in the street for 12eur/day or in a garage nerby for 20eur. Staff is very friendly and...

This is an excellent, restful venue if you like a smallish, high value, delightful hotel filled with art offering a European breakfast (great value at 10 Euro pp). It is a quick 4 minute walk from Muelfeldgasse to Nordbahnstrasse to get to the near-by Prater Metro which we used every day to get about Vienna. Each room has its own...

Having a two room app, we were very happy with our choice. A green courtyard view, spacious, own closet - wow such a luxury for a hotel room nowdays...Elegant furniture with a hint of antique..a bookstore...good breakfast...clean...metro station 3 stops from Stephan pl...and free parking on weekend in front of the building...absolute satisfaction. We might be back.

Kunsthof hotel is a very clean hotel located in the outside ring of old Vienna but very close to it. It is at the front of Prater park, where you can find delicious foods and atraction together just in 7 minutes on foot. Also it is close to the metro station (5 min) that connects you to the Vienna center...

This used to be known as Hotel Reichshof - the change must have been relatively recent, the taxi driver didn't know the current hotel name. Located close to Praterstern station (and the Prater), however all the action, shopping, bars, etc. aren't in this section of town. A good place to start for that is Stephansplatz, which is three stations from...

Dear Hans-Dominik, thank you very much for your review. Our hotel is family owned since more than 120 years and changed the name from Hotel Venedig to Reichshof and in 2002 to Hotel KUNSThof. We are sorry to hear your taxi driver didn’t know our house. Around the corner you will find the nearly best croatian fish restaurant in town,...

A friendly clean hotel in an excellent position and reasonable prices.Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of nuts fruits oats, muesli and bran. There were juices and fresh fruit as well as good variety of cheeses and meats. The varieties of bread and rolls were very good and hard to resist. The only downside for me were the steps...

I have nothing exceptional to say about this hotel. I was a bit disappointed by the room (small and not really cozy); in the bathroom I would suggest to add a small table (or something else) so guests can actually put their stuff there. But the hotel is clean, friendly reception staff and the breakfast is ok.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
