I have stayed in this hotel many times and always was perfectly happy. Rooms are simple but convenient and clean, the breakfast is fine (although the coffee could be better, in particular since this is Vienna). The hotel bar is a nice place to spend some time after dinner. A very good deal for the price.

Hotel Boltzmann was a decent place to stay in Vienna. It is not in the center of things (look for places near Stephensplatz for that), but it is within 5-minutes of a metro stop. The opera is nearby if you're interested in that. Room was clean and bright. Street was very quiet. Service was friendly, and offered services such as...

I had a reservation at Hotel Bleckmann, the sister hotel to Boltzmann, but was moved here because there was a problem with my room. I was told this was an upgrade to a four star, but I don't see that. The room was dated and the bathroom had mold. There was a stale smell to the room. I have to...

This is a good choice for short stays where basic amenities will suffice. It does not meet the standards of a four star hotel. Nonetheless the front desk staff makes an effort to be helpful and the breakfast buffet is varied providing a hearty start to the day. Tram lines run nearby and make connections to the metro easy. Karlsplatz...

Very friendly staff at reception, bar and breakfast room - they are doing a great job. Hotel more like a 3 star than a 4 star in terms of accommodation and breakfast. While I was there I saw American hiking and cycling groups meeting up to start touring and it suits that with a small bar area where strangers strike...

4 star near university that seems more of a 3.5 star. I would stay here again if I had another meeting close by. It is a 20-30 minute walk to the city center area. Pros: -clean bathtub -good A/c control -great location for university meeting -plenty of shampoo in gigantic dispenser (but no conditioner) -bar open until midnight -excellent buffet...

The Hotel is quiet and clean, breakfast are fine ! Though not a 4 stars hotel, but rather a nice 3 stars....... only one very slow and rather small elevator to deserve 7 floors....a couple of times I had to wait 20 minutes before seeing someone at the desk..... not even a small fitting room.....

My husband and I spent 6 days at this hotel. It was very nice and the staff very pleasant. Plus, it is literally just down the street from the American Embassy. Our room was on the 6th floor: 2 twin beds and a terrace with a rooftop view toward the city. The beds are comfortable and the room nicely maintained....

The room was a decent size with a little table and two chairs besides the desk area. The double bed is really two beds pushed together, and thus was a good size by European standards. The bed was comfortable, although I prefer the option of sheets to a simple comforter that was too warm for a midsummer stay. There is...

Although not right in the middle of Vienna, this little hotel is central enough and in a quiet neighbourhood. The reception was friendly and easy, the rooms were big enough and clean and the bathrooms were clean. There is a small bar which is very friendly. Breakfast was good. All in all, a clean, good little hotel.

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
