Maybe a bit quirky for some, or not situated in the best part of town might put some off.

I stayed 2 nights with a friend at this hotel. We loved it. It is full of character, very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The styling generally feels very Viennese and the breakfast good quality and varied. Loved it!
I felt I had to write this review to counter balance the previous review which could worry you if you are booked into this hotel. My wife and I booked holiday through secret escapes and checked reviews on trip advisor on each hotel we were...More
Arrived at this hotel early evening with my friend, and was greeted by Norman Bates himself on reception. Well to clarify, reception was a desk in the middle of the floor and the man was very weird to say the least, unhelpful, and very unwelcoming....More

There is the hotel's garage area which you can use for ~15 euros/day. They share the garage and in fact have only about 8 spots available there, so it may fill up. There are also a few free spots on the street just north of the hotel building. If those are full and you don't want to pay, you can also park anywhere in the neighborhood for the night free. There are signs that say when you can park there without a permit (if my memory serves me, 7pm-8am). You will need to wake up early in the morning to move your car to another space if you park in one of these spots. The hotel staff are very helpful in explaining where you can and cannot park.

We took the train when we stayed at Altwinerhof and you have to use the light rail to transfer. The train station is pretty far away from the hotel, but with the light rail across the street from the hotel, it would be pretty easy to arrive by train, hop on the light rail to the Gumpendorfer Strasse and walk across the street to the hotel.
Having the light rail across the way made staying at this hotel very easy.
