The hotel is like 2 minutes walking distance from the metro, the receptionists are very nice and kind. During my visit it was raining and the receptionist gives me an umbrella :) Breakfast is the best. Rooms are wide with a lot of space. If I ever come again to Vienna , that would be the place

Based on the reviews i picked this hotel, first of all because it was very very close to the metro station and it was also cost effective. It is not a luxury hotel, but i did not intended in choosing a 5 stars hotel. I wanted a place that has charm and personality, and i found these ingredients. Very kind... More

This hotel was quite a long way out of central Vienna but the metro and tram were close by if you needed them. My daughter and I were given a huge room which was comfortable, sparsely furnished but had a large bathroom. Also had a safe, but this didn't work The breakfast was very good, with lovely bacon and baked... More

large room, very clean , very pleasant staff, good breakfast selection,no extras eg fridge or Tea/coffee making facilities, a bit further out than we expected but close to metro station and a Taxi rank,we were unable to find any where decent to eat in the vicinity although plenty of kebab shops The Hotel exceeds the area it is located in.

This hotel in many ways is quite unique. It is almost shabby chic mixed with old Austrian furnishings that really comes off. Art plays a part in the hotel - lots of paintings and architecture. The area isn't great but its only a two minute walk to the metro which takes you everywhere. Have to admit that the local train... More

We stayed at the Altwienerhof for 4 nights June into July 2015. A lovely old 19th century building with a hint of old Habsburg Vienna. The room was big and simply furnished but more than adequate for one's needs. The only slight downside was that there was no air conditioning and we hit Vienna during a heat wave so it... More

A great location with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are spacious, cosy and very clean. Even if the hotel is not located in the Center, Vienna's infrastructure allows you to move with ease.

We had three days at a weekend bargain rate in this hotel in May 2016. The people at the reception were very helpful and friendly. The room was superbly fitted with traditional furnishings, including a very comfortable bed. The bath tub was very spacious and always clean. The local transportation system could be easily reached within 5 minutes from the... More

This hotel is a little out of the centre of town, but 50 yds from the nearest U-Bahn station and tram stop, with a direct tram to the Belvedere, or 5 underground stations with one change to the centre. A very friendly welcome, and we had a large room with windows on two sides. Comfortable room, small ensuite shower, difficult... More
