Our family run establishment is only 5 minutes away from the Ringstrasse and lies directly on the metro line U6. The hotel is famous first of all for its excellent service and very rich hot and cold breakfast. The General Hospital and numerous private hospitals, the Viennese Brunnen and Yppen street markets, the Freud museum, Volksoper, Votivchurch, City hall or Palace Gschwandner are also in the walking distance. Because of a good location near the metro line U6 all the places of interest - from Grinzing to Schonbrunn - are easy to reach. The rooms are equipped with minibar, hair dryer, writing case, alarm clock, WiFi, sat-TV, radio, soundproof windows, phone... Classical live music on Sunday breakfast, leafy courtyard, 24 hours open bar with Viennese wines, private SPA or a Nespresso machine in your room are only few of the many extra services we offer, which explain our slogan "3 stars hotel with 4 stars service and 5 stars charm". Our hotel was built in 1901 as a wedding gift and offers for more than 111 years lived hospitality and Viennese tradition, also marked in the successful architectural symbiosis of Art Nouveau with modern elements.

Ottakring
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).

Hotel was not as great as the pics. Hey old fashioned. Asked for a quiet room and got the noisest room ever.walls are paper thin. Staff was nice but that was as good as it got.also was told I could have a bath but then wasn't.

Stayed here for 4days and it was an amazing experience. The breakfast was out of this world with a fantastic choice. We appreciated the fact that the owner came and spoke to us at breakfast. Our room was lovely and spacious. The only thing we were disappointed in was that towels were only changed once(on the Monday our first whole day) and bed wasn’t changed either. The hotel is in walking distance of the main areas. We walked everywhere and covered all Quarters of this beautiful city. We will recommend this hotel and have already told our travel agent about it so that she can spread the word. Thank you again for making our break special.

spent 4 nights on a break in Vienna. Group of 6 on a visit to the Christmas markets. We received a warm welcome on checking in. Each room was unique but comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was great, plenty of choice and variety. Warm welcome from the staff each morning and helpful giving directions to places. Tram and train stops near by but centre of Vienna walkable from the hotel.

Spent 3 nights here on a break in Vienna. A good location close to the metro, but also very walkable to most city attractions.Vienna is a very walkable city. We had a nice room 310 that was very clean and comfy, though the towels could have been bigger and thicker. Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice of tasty food. Stall all very friendly and efficient. If possible would have given 4.5 stars.

Just spent 3 nights here on a short break. Staff at check in very helpful. Breakfast amazing. Room was lovely, bed lovely and comfortable and the reasonably priced minibar a godsend after a day walking the city. Ubahn just up the road with good connections or you could stroll to the city centre in 15 minutes. There is currently building works at the hotel but it did not cause any issues for me - quietest builders ever! If I return to vienna I am staying here.

HI Irene W., the city tax is closely related to the price per night, but it is roughly about 3% of the price per night. Greetings from Vienna, Family Kluss and Team

Vienna Pass provides free transportation & discount for maaaany attractions and it's only Monday to Sunday. Ιf you are going to visit the majority of those then yes, it's worthy. Keep in mind that most of them are closed on Monday. We also stayed for 5 days but we only bought a weekly transportation card that cost 17e for each and then bought the tickets for the must see museums separately which was cheaper. This is of course what worked for us. I hope I helped you.

What is the best way to get to the hotel from the train station. Thank you
So.. here is a funny story. The tram system was slightly confusing to say the least. We bought a 48 hour transport ticket which could be used on buses too. We got a train for one stop and transferred onto another tram (wrong one) off and on to another (wrong one). Finally, got on a tram and had around a 10 minute walk to the hotel. When we checked in we found that there was a closer tram No. 44 (about five stops from the centre), which we got from Schottentor stop in the centre of town (so get a tram to that stop and get on the No. 44 would be my advice). There is a stop heading back into town centre outside hotel. The tram stops further up the street on the right and it is a few minutes walk back up to the hotel. Enjoy the beautiful city!
