I visited Vienna and Furstenhof hotel in January Positives -The hotel is situated right opposite Westbanhoff train and underground station which have a variety of eating opportunities (I recommend Vapiano Italian restaurant). -Right at the corner a huge shopping street starts (Mariahilfer strasse) -You can access the center in 25 minutes on foot -Old style hotel, brings you back in...

Very nice three star hotel, with some interesting decor. Excellent location near the Westbahnhof, and there are lots of trams right outside the door. Staff are good and helpful, but the front door slams like nothing else, and there's a lot of noise early in the morning from guests to-ing and fro-ing, and there's a church directly around the back...

I'll start with the pros because I like to be positive. The woman on the front desk during the day was extremely friendly and speaks excellent English, my room appeared clean (I walked around in white socks and they weren't gross) and the location is good - right across the street from the U-Bahn and between the Schloss and the...

Older hotel but very conveniently located opposite one of the main train stations. Room was clean and breakfast reasonably priced. I was able to leave my bag after checking out in a secure room. I had a single room on the ground floor and it was inconvenient that the only shower was on a different floor.

The lift is an old one; fascinating but at the same time it was too small. The hotel is not very disabled-friendly and was not warm enough too fit our needs. But overall, the service was good and the workers are friendy. The room was neat and clean. The bed was average and the breakfast price was adequate.

I loved the Furstenhof and would stay again in a heartbeat. The location is next to one of the main train stations. My room was very inexpensive and was much bigger than expected. It was a shared bathroom, but that was no problem. There were several bathrooms on the same level and in the two weeks I was there I...

There was no hot water neither in the evening nor in the morning. We couldn't take a bath. Fortunately, we were only one night here. Never again. The temperature in the room was also lower than it should be. It's a shame from a three-star hotel.

Great location next to the Westbahnhof train station. The hotel is not much to see and the rooms and bath are very small and not in great shape but all I used the room was to take a shower and store luggage while stopping over in Vienna. The staff was very helpful and spoke English.

I am the director of a study abroad and have stayed at the hotel for 11 years in a row. Loved the staff. But walked in this year and knew something had changed. Did not recognize one person and they must have been fired. This year hotel was bought by a chain and it was like being in a hostel....

I stayed for a total of 8 days at the Furstenhof, and would certainly go back! The staff were friendly and spoke good English, you have to leave your key every time you leave so get to see the staff a lot, this saves you loosing it when out and about sightseeing I guess. Just over the road from the...
